The first few looks are a little Rei mixed with a bit of Junya. It's interesting, I've never seen Alber tackle such interesting shapes (at least as of late).
This really feels like Alber was pushing himself. I like that a lot. It shows. His collections the last several years have all felt very auto-pilot. This makes me feel excited about Lanvin, again.
I adore the opening section - especially this look - WOW!
Dark collections based on tweaked classics would be my weakness.
Junya really does come to mind with those relaxed, long silhouettes, especially in that knitted dress Jamie is wearing; some skirts and coats with raw cut edging... even the pointed toe flat footwear... which only makes me like this even more, can't help it.
Alber has finally got his groove back, this collection was splendid, he makes the perfect party clothes without looking vulgar or trashy. All the materials look very sumptuous, I'm desperate to touch everything!
Every Lanvin collection has some pieces that make me think, "What the heck is going on?", but then there are also amazing looks that make me love the collection. This is no exception.
i do like the idea behind the whole collection, this extreme marriage of sorts over fringe and formality that feels like an outburst from the usual feminine constraints. i don't think it's the perfect combination however. perhaps i'm just a sucker for Alber's usual polished looks, but his raw (and slightly rebellious) take this season is just too dissonant for me to stomach.
imo some dresses look like they were made straight out of a dusty living room carpet. if that's what it takes to look edgy, count me out
Love this. Those leather pleated dresses are so strong. There are so many ideas here and it's all so chic. I wonder how long Alber will stay at Lanvin?
