Wow.. this is.. different. This is the first Lanvin collection where I don't completely love everything. I think what's different is that it's just so modern and relevant to today it's almost unrecognizable.

Finally something DIFFERENT from Lanvin.

I'm not obsessed with it, but I definitely think it's one of his better collections for the house in a while. Feels like new territory.

There's something kind of Dries about it, and I actually think if this were a Dries collection, it'd be fantastic...like I mentioned in Dries' thread, I find his aesthetic gorgeous, but sort of irrelevant at this point. He isn't bringing anything new to the table that feels like the here and now. This particular Lanvin collection feels like the "here-and-now" version of Dries.

Alber just outdid himself! This is utter perfection and I just cannot comprehend how the man manages to better himself season after season.

i can't even begin to say how much I hate those earings. They make the head look like a lamp.
On the brightside this is a fresh collection for Lanvin. Some pieces give me Altuzarra vibe. I'm drooling over the black coat in Look 15

I completely, and utterly agree. This is all about textile but the narrative is so poignant too. he is beyond comprehension and a master, an ICON!!!:heart::heart:

By far his best collection in recent years. This is absolutely STUNNING!

Those snakeskin and animal fur combo coats are insane. So good.

Wish there was a bit more color though.

I like this a lot ... and the leather goods look particularly delicious. The color piecing is something I don't remember his doing before ... definitely new and different. This reminds me of something I can't quite place ... vintage YSL??
