Lanvin S/S 2013 Paris

I usually love his work but for some reason I don't like this very much. It's experimental, though, so perhaps something fantastic will come out of this down the road.

I love the cuts and everything minus the color. Too much dark /black for spring summer. Wish Alber would try more lighter colors. Dont know why he is a fan of darkness :)

I don't think I'll ever be disappointed by the adorably cute penguin-looking (I mean this in a nice way) genius designer at the helm of Lanvin! This collection is utterly beautiful! From the color choices, the construction, down to the details, everything was perfect! I really like the fact that some clothes (kinda like the one Karlie is wearing) were structured to look a bit origami-like (I'm starting to see a trend here!). The color palette is amazing, so beautifully ornate and would totally look amazing when shone by the summer sun (although I think the colored pieces are evening-wear, haha!). All in all, it was another gorgeous collection from one of the best designers in Paris! Brava!

It looks really really good, he hardly ever makes bad collections actually...I also don't think ti resembles last season Gucci's

Feels like having seen all of it before but that`s TOTALLY FINE with me because I LOVE signature Lanvin!

We can`t expect designers to re-invent themselves every season - refining & staying true to their signature style is just as important.

Great & typical Lanvin collection! Go Alber! :flower:

Oh my this is absolutely gorgeous. A little reminiscent of Gucci... but I loved that collection and I LOVE this one! So perfect

it's familiar and obviously Alber for Lanvin, but i like how the pieces look so.... 'tight' and precise this season. it just feels right. and it's just as 'tight' in the looser pieces.

just wished he'd used more colors

Strangely, This reminds me a lot of Tom Ford's first collection for YSL, back in SS/2001. I'm not suggesting in any way, that Elbaz was copying, he's far too classy and talented for that, but just making an interesting observation.
