You can just download AudioScrobbler for whatever online radio station or media player you already use. Then it latches itself on like a limpet, or a a leech...or a vampire bat...and tells lastfm.com what you listen to.

So if you download AudioScrobbler for Windows MediaPlayer you can still listen to the Spice Girls on Real Player and noone will ever know...

^ ah ha! ......

O.K, maybe i will give this a spin . i'll join the tfs group  thanks, poc.

yay lo! so excited! :woot:

i must admit, i signed up on a whim not really knowing what was going on either and it's coming to me a bit...i installed the radio thing but haven't used it at all...i'm not even embarrassed about my music on there... could be worse! i'm excited to see our charts though...and i like seeing what others are listening to because it gives me an idea of things i should check out.

This didn’t show up right away but once you’ve listened to enough music there’s the neighbour radio which is great ! I’m enjoying that a lot and really love most of what plays on there.

Other than that...eh :ermm: the stats etc. I’m not so into and I don’t really have the patience to go check what ppl are playing- if you can’t listen to it anyway...Apparently there’s a cool option for personal radio (where you can tune in to music from user profiles) but of course that is a paid feature...

I joined, but i didn't get the pony like it promised (yet). Plus, it keeps telling me i don't have any friends, which i think is rather rude.

It's really cool though - i'm looking forward to the charts as well. It was picking up songs i was playing yesterday, but it hasn't picked up anything i've played today. Dunno what's up with that...

I've joined! EEEEeee, same username as on here :)
Edited to say: Oooh electic mix of indie, unusual and classic bands, I like. (At the charts).

I dont really understand how the chart works. Does the number mean the number of members who listened to that band? or....

ybf i think the chart refers to what people in the fashionspot group are listening to...it just tallies up how many people have listened to radiohead, for instance, during the week. it's pretty neat - i love seeing what you guys are listening to!

I wish you could drill down and see what songs were listened to. If there's a way to do that, i don't see it... It is quite cool though.

Ah - i see. There's a "tracks" link over on the right. I hadn't seen that before. I didn't see any of my songs on the chart. I guess my vote doesn't count. :(

:D

this website seems to not be working for me ....i dont have a 'chart'. im sure i did everything correctly...im not too tech savy , so im not surprised

did you check to see if the plug in was on in windows media player?

last week my charts weren't showing up but today i checked again and they all showed up. It showed i was playing Caring is Creepy more than 10 times in a row :ninja:

You all werent supposed to see that

well, i know i downloaded it for windows media player......but how do i check if it is working correctly? do you have to listen to a certain amount of music? because i noticed that it has "last 100 songs" i havnt listed to 100 songs yet.

whoa, by what you say, it sounds pretty , uh.....'nosy'

Well the good thing is that you can turn it on and off as you please so you wont embarass yourself

To see if its working, in Windows Media Player head to Tools>down the list to plug-ins>then select Audioscrobbler plug in. It should start collecting your music and it should show up on the site if you listened to 3/4 of the song.

If you dont want people seeing what youre listening to, just unselect it.

I joined the group! I'm not sure about the mix tape idea since I can't afford it by the moment but maybe a zip file mix tape can be good as well.
