i have a feeling her chanel bag is fake. every authentic chanel i've ever seen doesn't have tags hanging off of it. lauren has horrible style. she looks mediocre at best, but her personality is okay.

i think whitney has AMAZING skin. it always looks so fresh and dewy.

heidi is stupid, but adorable. she could entertain the devil. she's so silly!

MTV played a marathon for a while yesterday, so I watched a bit of it. My dad came into the room and asked what I was watching and I explained the show to him. He was like, "This is a REALITY show?! No way!" He did not buy it at all. I don't care though...I am a sucker, and I love it!

Jason, like Lauren, comes from a very wealthy family. He apparently earns somewhere in the range of $3000 a night for promotional appearances at clubs and events. I don't think MTV bought the Range Rover he drives or the Chanel purse.

Yeah, and they also showed her "interviewing" with Teen Vogue. Doesn't mean that really happened either!

Her sister is very unattractive, especially compared to LC.

I am not surprised...they are always showing slow shots of Kristen's car on LB, and making sure people see the BMW logo...and the same is true of Lauren's car on the Hills.

Companies often donate stuff to people on MTV reality shows in exchange for having the product featured on the shows. I believe that when Danny and Melinda from RW Austin got engaged, the engagement ring was actually donated by a jeweler. Same thing with the IKEA furniture in the RW houses. Also, I believe that on Sorority Life and Road Rules Campus Crawl, a lot of the clothing they wore was donated by American Eagle.

Actually, if you watch Overdrive on MTV.com, Lauren's car used to belong to her mother. Lauren gave her little sister the SUV she used to drive on LB and Lauren's mom then gave Lauren the BMW. Lauren's car is a hand-me-down albeit a rather nice one.

As well on that topic, MTV did indeed chip in for Kristin's car but only for about half. It is true there is a lot of advertisment going on in the show. But I suppose it just all makes viewers seem more skeptical as they don't know whats real and whats not.

MTV bought Kristin's old car (the isuzu) and the money may have went towards her BMW SUV. The car was not a graduation present but was given to her before spring break.

I think LC is really beautiful and she has a good mix of "classic" and "cali" as a style.
Even though I'm addicted to the Hills (yay drama!) it's so fake. She signed on to do the show as soon as she finished Laguna and then MTV went out and found an internship in fashion for her. Plus, she only does her "internship" stuff when cameras are on and they only film at certain times and certain things. One of my friends was an intern at the NY Teen Vogue offices at the same time as LC was in LA and basically everything you see her doing has been set up by the producers of the show. But the fakeness doesn't make the show any less entertaining.
I just read that for the second season of the Hills MTV producers approached Louis Vuitton...they want the season to be based in Paris having LC intern at a fashion house there. But LV declined the offer!!

I think LC at vuitton in Paris would've been cool for The Hills, but I can't see LV execs putting up with that crap for publicity.
