yea, camden is a bit...i dont know how to say it. but east london is alright. brick lane and such. east end is where most of the fashion/art/design students are anyways. been trying to find a place to live in east end but just dreadful round about now.Well quite, I think people that are from outside london focus on camden (argh!) and east london (double argh!) whereas I think it's not predictable where you'll find the truly stylish and chic dressers. I think the fashion students tend to be beautifully attired.
Madeline, Trend Forecaster, friend of headband maker.
Got Her: In Picadilly Circus.
Stalked Her: Well, she was going to London Fashion Week's On/Off party and we were going to Temperley's Bungalow 8 bash, so we had to meet her now.
Shot Her: Because we loved her headband. And her skirt. And her lipstick. And her socks. And her necklace.
She Says: "Isn't the headband great? My friend made it, she's just about to launch a line. I'm a trend forecaster, so I just sort of keep my eyes open at all times."
We Say: Just don't get forecaster hair...
Madeline, 23, Writer
Got Her: At PPQ's Spring/Summer 2009 show at the London Fashion Week Tent
Stalked Her: Because her simple hair and shoes defied the dangerously hip crowd - in a good way.
Shot Her: Because sometimes a PPQ dress is hard to wear if you're not Lily Allen/Peaches Geldof/on a red carpet, and she managed to rock it pretty damn well.
She Says: "I used to work for PPQ! They're amazing, and I still love helping them out whenever I can. Now I work for Distill magazine, it's a new book and it's like a magazine digest. So we feature the best of the international fashion press."
We Say: Definitely a dress that's fit to print.
