Long socks over tights

susie_bubble it looks so cute on you! i'm going to have to try this trend out. It actually functions for warmth/comfort as well as style, so I particularly like that aspect!

Although it's past my age, I loooved what I saw in those pictures!

Adorable!

Its not for everyone but for me its sort of a practical thing since it allows me to wear thigh high/knee high socks without looking too sl*tty or getting cold thighs!

I've worn striped woolsocks or legwarmers tucked in ankleboots or allstars over skinnyjeans a few times, if it's cold.

Susiebubble: You look amaaazing.

I think it's a cute (very warm) look-- though I feel that not everyone can wear it, if you have thick legs then this look might just make them appear even thicker.

But I like this idea a lot...as long as it's not paired with an outfit that's full of a million layers, ruffles, patterns, ect. I personally feel that socks over tights would go well with a simple outfit-- to even it out.

Another trend I just noticed was like Brittany Murphy in Globe or Star in the latest issues: Long sleeve shirt or leotard with tights and fitness tight shorts. Excluding the high heel pumps. I saw it locally when I was driving home. I lady in the neighborhood wearing long sleeve shirt /blouse, white tights with what looked to be thigh high boots and shorts. Looked rather interesting but fashionable.

I've seen this numerously on guys with jersey shorts, tights over socks. It is more of a basketball influence than a stylish one.

i have seen that around. i'd like to try it but too bad it's getting warm around here. i'd look silly wearing that many layers when everyone is walking around in shorts.

I do this occasionally, but it's usually function and practicality, not a fashion statement. Going from street to subway to home/office/shopping, it's a very convenient way to layer. I prefer long socks and stockings/tights that are the same color as my shoes.

Footless tights and running shorts or basketball shorts and either basketball shoes or sandals are also popular for guys. Seen it around several times locally. I recently worn blue running tights with basketball shorts over them. I even noticed on tv for Aleve that a male runner had black tights and shorts with sneakers. It has come to be now.
