Loose T-Shirts

This is so true. I almost will never wear my tight skinny leg jeans along with a tight top. I hate the look.. i have to add a loser fitting top with my jeans. I think it looks much better

I like this look, but find it really difficult to find loose fitting tops. Any ideas?

Skin tight long sleeved tops serve their purpose for layering (can't really have loose things under tight things.

But I do love loose t-shirts to wear by themselves. Vintage seem to be the best for me as the 80's had loadsa women's t-shirts that aren't loose like men's styles but a flattering kinda loose.

I agree. I cant find loose t-shirts anywhere!

Anyone know any websites where you can find loose fitting plain tees... I want to do silkscreening? Is Petit Bateau quite a loose fit?

This trend has definitely been out there, even in the mainstream since last year...

you should just go to americanapparel.net and buy wholesale, not retail.
you can get tees in that style for like 3 bucks...wholesale or 24 retail...

what?? how can this be a trend now?? people have been wearing this for at least three years now! :S

I like the loose "T" but I just can't get with the skinny jeans...to me they are retro...as in 1985. I think that if you are old enough that you wore the trend last time around (by choice, not something that your mom put you in) then you probably should skip it this time. Just my opinion.

Can I substitute seriously skinny jeans for well fitting straight legged ones? Not that it matters too much because I rarely wear jeans. I am just to a jeans type.

I love this look too. I just bought a couple of the loose tanks from mark and estel like the one's pictures on the first page, they'r really flattering and comfy, but pretty expensive!

This is where I go that's why I wrote about em!

*mark and estel (having a big sale...a lot of their stuff is $28 and $34 right now)
*american apparel
*vintage

^ Yup..I am always paranoid of being a muffin top, so my clothes are always looser. It's a lot easier to move around and oh, eat too ;)

I have a short torso, if the top's too long it looks like I'm wearing a poor-fitting dress and smacked the jeans on underneath, and I can't wear long tops with shorts because more often than not, they stop at about the same place. However, I'm definitely not into midrif - I just like tops that fit and don't swamp me.
I love that factory girl pic in the first post! :woot:
Classic, well-fitting tees will always be around.
One of my good friends is Chinese and I always love her outfits, then we had a 'dress up'-esque day where I tried on all her clothes. What looks awesome on her body just does nothing for me.

j.crew does these vintage tissue-thin tops that i've found to loosen after a few washes. i love them because they have extra long sleeves and are so comfy and inexpensive.

LOL... don't forget the cheaper stores.. I bought a few loose tops recently at Target... soft fabric too...

I'm liking this 'trend' a lot...it's nice being able to eat whatever I want now. :p

I love that tee dress by Mary Ping. Does anyone know how much it is & where I can get it? Thanks. :flower:

I personally LOVE nice loose/oversized tops (as long as they aren't too big, of course)! They're stylish (if you know how to dress them up and carry them well) and comfy too.
