Lula Issues #1, #2

I loved this magazine the second susie started posting the new issue, and today when I stopped at Borders I was pleasantly surprised to find Lula sitting there among a slew of lesser mags. After leafing through the first 10 pages I fell even more in love. I didn't read the rest because I'm buying that baby tomorrow, taking it home, and savouring every single lovely page.

All the pictures are so wonderful.. and I love all the graphic art and the page layouts. And no advertisements.. aww.

You're so lucky Meg & Bixby! I want this magazine, and I'm going out of town next week so hopefully I'll find it then. Borders here I come!

I bought the second issue a week ago or two.
It's really lovely and inspiring, the interviews could have been a bit longer though.

I  this magazine! I just picked it up today at Indigo at Yonge&Eglinton...the editorials are beautiful and very inspiring. I do wish I could get the first issue though, but Indigo only recently started stocking it.

Karma for you, Susie! Thanks for posting it all. I really hope to find this magazine this week, I'm going to head downtown to Borders and hope for the best.

I just got my copy of the second issue from Magazine Cafe, and it's just wonderful! It's all so beautiful and inspirational - I just wish I could get hold of the first copy as well. Does anyone know if it's possible to get a copy of the first issue online, or has it completely sold out?

Was Magazine Cafe they reliable? I'm thinking about ordering it from them, but I don't know anything about them.

for anyone interested and in vancouver, you can get it at the chapters on robson.

anyone in toronto have any luck finding it?
i discovered, to my dismay, that the maison de la presse in yorkville (cumberland st) stocked lula's 1st issue in january and i missed it...:(

Polka Dot, I haven't ordered anything from Magazine Cafe before either, but everything seemed fine - it arrived on time and the site seemed pretty secure. Still, I was using someone else's credit card to order it (with permission, of course), so it wasn't my neck on the line so much!

Susie, thank you for the offer, but don't worry about posting any more stuff from the first issue- you've posted so much beautiful stuff already! :D

Thanks sparklemotion! :flower: I'll have to order it whenever I have some money again. I want it. :shifty:

has anyone been able to find the second issue in LA? i bought my first issue in an airport in New Jersey. i went to booksoup (which usually has everything) but alas i did not find it. i'm one of those people who would rather go buy it then go online and order it.
just now saw this thread...Lula mag is one of my favorites right up there with Another Magazine  and coincidentally, my grandmother's name:woot:
I got my last issue (the 2nd one) in Silverlake at Circus of Books on Sunset:flower:
I know my friend got her's (she said) at the news stand on Fairfax just north of Melrose.
My neighbor/friend Becky Stark who is a talented singer I have known for years is interviewed in the issue by director Miranda July, another neighbor of mine here in Echo Park^_^
Also, Sarah Flicker and her Citizen's Band is interviewed and featured...she used to live across the way as well.
This magazine is worth every penny...its like a coffee table book on great paper and no ads.
Get it if you can!

How lovely, I really like Lavender Diamond. I just got a copy of the magazine today at Borders. I had to go to two of them since the first didn't have it. But the entire magazine is beautiful, worth the money.
