following DSquared latest Milano menswear show and kit's post on Monty Python's lumberjack song... guess what i saw?
the following article, from fashionuk as follows

Log-loving lads
For years, lumberjacks have been associated with virile Canadians and the Monty Python song. This spring, elements of the lumberjack look are influencing menswear and while you may be living and working far away from the woods, you can still look like you know how to handle an axe. The main ingredients are denim jackets, checked shirts, raw jeans or combats and credible boots. 7 For All Mankind Mojave Relaxed Jeans, (circa £100 available from Eluxury.com) are good, or be more modernist with Griffin's Combat Banana trousers, and if you buy them online now, you'll save 50% (current price, £70). A vintage denim jacket is a safe bet, but Marc Jacobs' denim jacket with faux shearling collar and lining is the business (available from brownsfashion.com). The traditional red checked shirt is a bit too country, so try instead look for a more subtle take on check like Giorgio Armani's soft blue one (£99.99 kitmeout.com). For the feet, go hiking boot. Prada has a sporty version out now and while classic Timberland Stowe Hikers are hard to beat, you can get fantastic Rogue hiking boots which are handmade in South Africa for less than £100 (exclusive to John Muiden, see unbeatentracks.com).

i know it's blatant objectification, but seeing all of those ideal male forms really does help me buy into this look ;)

this new style is truly disgusting. Dsquared had these jeans that looked very modern.. How did they go from Rock and Roll 50's to Lumberjack forest-hicks?
