"Carrot" Jeans

I love this style , if Topshop release some baxter version I'll be angry.

Wrangler have their own version called Tokyo Joe.

Susie, haha yeah

Well Acne has made some as well, they aren't that extreme though. . .

I honestly can't see anyone actually pulling this off.... I'm sorry I really don't see their appeal.

I just can't stand these for women at all. I used to remember in the Japanese streetstyle thread that sometimes I thought the guys looked cool in them but they are very hard to pull off imo! They look horrible on most women, I think... an exaggeration of the very part of most women's bodies that they hate.

This is exactly why I dont like these. They canwork for guys though I think.

everyone laughs now, but in about 6moths time they will be laughing at everyone NOT wearing them!

:D yes, i can see what you say, arent trends a funny thing?
i for one will certainly not been wearing them but i'm very excited to see a new shape coming up and love following up the views posted here
B)

I have seen a lot of these jeans on guys in Japan and HK..for quite some time actually.

I honestly prefer them more on guys than girls, just think that the oppposite sex can pull this off so much better.

seems that most of us agree on this being mostly a great 'boys' trend

Really extra awful for women, and just regular awful for men. The way guys in the U.S. would wear them, the crotch would be down way below their knees. With the exception of business-types, most guys wear their pants relatively low (underneath their bellybuttons), no matter what length the rise is--the higher the rise, the lower the crotch. This sort of rise would be terrible.

No! Please no. Awful!

I dunno....I kind of think they look ok on girls - these are easier to wear than the low low crotch baggy pants. The carrot tops don't necessarily have to have that low crotch. It's more just baggy on the top then stemming down to the bottom. I will post some pics tomorrow of my own carrot pants (don't have jeans but I have a few of this shape).

i would go to a shop and try them on, but chances are I cannot pull them off so I wouldn't buy them, but I do actually quite like them.

I'd never wear any that extreme , I have my own version created by jeans that stretched and I lost weight. I think with these type of jeans it depends on the type of denim , some denim can make it look awful , whereas I think black denim is ok. Maybe it works better in a trouser fabric or material as denim is a bit too 'heavy' sometimes I think.

I think this trend could look good on some, but I don't think I'm one of those people!!! hehe. I'd just look silly.

definitey have to take off yr shoes first if u wanna pull them off.

i dont like it at all. only a select few can pull this off i think

I have some pants that fit this kind of shape....they're in the'crazy pants' section of my wardrobe........

The brown ones are from Michiko Koshino. The purple ones are ones I bought in HK.

i really like the purple ones on you susie.

i don't think i would ever try it. i have an hourglass figure and anything that distorts my natural shape makes me look fat :(

another one of those silly trends. i'm never going to wear pants like these, that's for sure
