Lydia Hearst

an interview I saw on youtube from 2007

according to this:

She grew up outside NYC and went to a public high school
She felt she had been treated normally until she went to college when she felt people treated her differently due to her name
She knew it would be hard to model at 5'6 but Neil Hamil believed in her
She's dedicated to Darfur
She has only met the other NY socialites within the last year and is only aquainted with them and nothing more

I should probably add that although she went to a Public, it was still in a very wealthy place in Connecticut. Still public :P

That is so bogus lol. I love Lydia and all, but there is no way she is just "acquainted" with the NY socialites. She's like BFF with the Hiltons who were NY socialites before moving to LA, not to mention she used to be pretty high up on SocialiteRank and you'd have to be pretty active on the socialite circuit to do that...

^ that top is cute but i wouldn't have paired it with those pants.

She received alot of hype for a 2 seconds role. She's beautiful nevertheless.

Lydia Hearst Calls Herself a Supermodel? Now a days everyone's a supermodel.

If you think that Paris Hilton is the model for all the exceedingly wealthy, young, blonde heiresses out there, you'd be sadly mistaken — or at least that's what Lydia Hearst would have you believe.

When OK! caught up with the 23-year-old model/actress/designer/gal-about-town at the Step Up Women's Network 10th Anniversary Inspiration Awards Gala in NYC on Thursday, she was more than willing to break down just how different she and her fellow celebutante truly are.

"I went to college," Lydia, who attended Sacred Heart University, tells OK!. "I'm a supermodel. I have a legitimate career in journalism, television, fashion and designing."

And then, the great-granddaughter of publishing giant William Randolph Hearst (and great-great-granddaughter of mining magnate George Hearst) appeared to take a catty swipe at Paris' entire family lineage, saying, "I'm a Hearst, not a Hilton!"
