MacBook

I just bought the 13" MacBook Pro - although the 15" is faster, I prefer a smaller screen.

Does all macbooks come with webcams!? And is it true that mackbooks don't get viruses!? CONFIRM please!? Thank <3

they all have a cam integrated. works perfectly :)
you don't need an antivirus programm. have mine for 1 1/2 year and never had problems with viruses

Even with LIMEWIRES and TORRENTS! Wow that's a plus for APPLE and WEH for WINDOWS!

BTW: Is LIMEWIRE allowed or torrents!?

hm i heard it's RARE for macs to get viruses but that it is possible.

i'm just going to use it for basic student stuff... writing papers, internet, storing photos, etc. So i'm guessing the white macbook would be good? i'm a PC girl and will probably still use my desktop PC for photoshop and video editing i just need the Mac to take around school and stuff, i think i may just go for the white one...good decision?

well, I've been using my ibook (yes, it's pre-historical) for 5 years now and it's time to upgrade :) I'm thinking about buying the 15 inch or a powerbook (if that still exists, I'm not that into computers ;)). I can confirm that in those 5 years I didn't have any viruses or annoying pop-ups and Mac is very easy to use (before this I had to use ctrl alt del more than ever).

I keep getting this screen where if I'm doing something, it will go dark for a second like it's going to a screen saver, but once I move my finger on the touchpad, it goes away instantly. No idea why as I don't have my screen saver set on. Also have major problems with my power cord. I've heard some people have problems with theirs. But mine is less than 4 months old and if the power cord gets jiggled (either where it plugs into the socket, or the white power brick, there is no problem where it connects to my macbook) it will disconnect and stop charging until I re-jiggle it. I'm going to have to take it into the Apple store in Calgary in a week or so when I'm up there.

I bought a black macbook about 2 years ago and used the warranty for the first time this weekend. There was a small crack where the magnets keep the screen closed and I took it to the Apple store. They replaced the casing for me free (since I purchased Applecare), it's like I got a brand new computer again!

I'm disappointed they no longer make black ones. I don't think I could resist it if they made a black macbook air.

Wanna buy myself first cumputer,I like Mac,but it's too expensive and i am broke

I got my MacBook Pro 13" last week and I'm loving it.
I've been a PC user ever since and migrating to Mac was really easy.
OS X is just so easy to use. Very simple and really beautiful.
I won't go back to Windows..
Haha.. But I think I'll try Windows 7 in BootCamp when it comes out..

I'm considering buying a Macbook 13" - so tired of my 'big' PC.. I tried using my friend's one and it really was a lot easier than I had expected. Still not sure if I dare to abandon my PC laptop :p

like they say, once you go mac you never go back :)

it was a bit hard for me to understand it in the beginning as i was too a PC girl for so long but once you get the hang of it is SO much easier (and faster imo)

^ same here!. I can't take the rusticity of windows anymore myself. :ninja:
definitely go for it, Stella!. it'll take a few 'adjustment' days but it's all worth it.. much cleaner, safer, practical .. all better seriously, and this is coming from someone that swore by that big PC until quite recently. :p

**eta: does anyone know of a good site with 'fun' and free dock icons?.. I changed all of mine a few months ago but getting tired already..
