Apple Stores have open again, but there's nothing new except for the new Aperture 3...

I own a Mac Book Pro and I love it! I would recommend it to anyone who is in the laptop market! It allows you the ability to switch from Mac world to PC anytime you wish!

i figure since it was the first day of Macworld (even though Apple didn't attend this year) that they would debut the MacBook Pro, but noooo.. ja ja

Geekbench supposedly has benchmark scores for the new Macbook Pros and stores like BestBuy are deleting Current Pro Models from their inventory....imminent i think. don't buy! hold on, like i'm doing.

this is how i keep track on the new products (iPod, Iphone, iMac), seeing as how Apple is so secretive, everyone has to dig info from all over the planet to see what's next.

I love my macbook! Everything runs so much smoother than it does on PC - my old one used to get a virus every three months I swear.. very frustrating. My ex was a whizz at fixing it but when we broke up it was tres annoying!

I'm studying journalism and I do all my design work on it, plus personal blogging etc and it's the best platform I've ever used. I'd seriously recommend one!

I'm holding on but it's hard!!!! I can't stand my computer right now, it has no sound can you imagine a laptop without sound?!! :doh:

I am waiting for a MBP for years! To have the budget and have an excuse to buy one :p

I think their updates are imminent like you said maybe next week? But I'm almost sure that they will be out by the end of the month.
The last rumors say that the new MBP could have the new NVidia graphic processor... maybe it's the reason why they're late compared to other laptops already fit with i5/i7 processors...

Wait and See (but don't wait too long...^_^)
 
If I didn't have to worry about budget, I'd so get one.

god this waiting is awful ;) i want a mac pro but an updated version - and i want mine in march or april so they better get things going
 
ah, the good old Apple always releases on Tuesdays

if they haven't released it by now,
then i am certain they will be released when the iTablets come out in March.
release a new product, update the others.

my current model i bought back in 2007
and then they released the updates 2 weeks later. :cry:
hence why i'm so adamant on waiting this time around.

Yes I can use a headphones but only if I plug a special USB sound adapter...:(

So guys, it was not for today. Like you Dorien, I think they will release the update in early March...
 
any mac-pro-news about updates etc? I want to buy one within the next month so they better hurry up with never versions
 
does anyone know when the new version will be out? i also am waiting to get one very very soon but heard rumours about the new one coming out in march?! anyone? :flower:
 
since they weren't release in Feb,
i am one to say that they will be released at the same time as the iTablet.
going by their history, they usually release updates for various products at the same and at launches of new products.

iTablet is stated by them to be out this march.

mostly likely on a tuesday :rolleyes:
March 16 or 23.

those are your best bets for updated MacBook pros. :flower:

Laurianne, which model do you have your eyes on?
13", 15", or 17"

the Current Macbook is as good (and Cheaper) than the 13" MacBook Pro.
makes you wonder, why anyone would spend $300 more, for basically the same thing.

i am curious to see if they update all of the MBP models or just the 15" and 17" with and option for the 13", but nothing standard. would suck, non?

Why May 4? Honestly, I read a few days back on a Mac forum a very good theory but I can't seem to remember what it was... :D
But I keep my fingers cross for March 16 and it's more likely.

And Dorien, I'm looking for a MacBook Pro 13". So why not a MacBook? Well just because I prefer the MPB's design and its SD card slot.

Except from some video work and photoshop I don't do much more but maybe I'm crazy but I don't want to buy something right now when I know that the updated ones will be out soon. If I judge that the difference between MBP2009 and MBP2010 will have no interest for me then I will try to find a secondhand MBP2009 cheaper.

But right now I'm just very curious about what will be changed in the new MBPs!!:woot:
And I don't think they will just update 15" and 17", they will update the whole range...I hope..
