i am interested in the 15" one and really hope they will present the updated version now in March ! let's hope for March 16th!

just checked the macrumors-forum and their thread 'MacBook Pro 2010' RAM' and they are also hoping for a new update in March but nobody knows for real! it's really terrible - I would need a new notebook this month and do not want to buy the old version to have coming out a new one the following month and having paid more for less - let's hope they hurry up with the release NOW!

can the cheapest verison of macbook run the high quality videos like 1080P Videos?
i am on a tight budget, so, if the macbook cant run that sort of videos, i am gonna give up and save it to purchase a HP laptop and blackberry(how could fashionista/nisto live without BB?)

since the apple store website will go down (don't even know why they do this) the night before March 12, maybe, maybe one can expect it to come back up with the MacBook Pro lineup updated.

@ Balmain: I don't know about the video but I can tell you how a fashionista can live without a BB... with a iPhone
And about the HP laptop, I don't know which model you have in mind, but if I can give you an advise, before you buy one check if it's not too noisy. Because I have a HP compaq and I have to open it every month to clean up the dust which make my laptop VERY noisy!

my HDD just died!!!
the external one. 1TB gone, although i honestly probably had close to 600gbs of info but still.
i have data on my laptop, my PS3, a 16GB USB drive, iphone, and the 1tb EX-HDD, i back up my work (i'm a writer) everywhere, but there goes all my music, my movie collection, tv series....
ugh, not going to give up on it, going to take it apart tomorrow morning and bring it back to life, try to salvage something.
i would have said glossy.don't like the word Matt, i have my reasons.

I'm sorry about your external DD!! I had the same problem a few months back with my internal DD, I brought it to a specialist who said that it was dead, and to an another one who said that it wasn't dead, he did his thing and he brought my DD back to life!
And Fritmayo, maybe we will have the choice of the screen with the next update...

very unlikely; it is really a definitiv choice they did.
they might still propose it as they did for the higher range, in option at a premium price

I works fine when I have it plugged in so yeah its the battery.

I was sure nothing was gonna happen today, but next week...
If there is nothing new by next week, then I will have NO idea concerning this MBP release date...
But it doesn't change anything for me, my PC still works and I don't want to buy anything else but Mac, so I'll be patient... (but please iPapy, not too long!!)

yeah , it's just that i can't wait much longer - i need a new notebook by the end of march!!! what is bothering me a bit is that every extra that comes with a notebook is quite expensive with apple (software,etc.) and for the Ghz, MB etc. the standard is not that great for the MacPro 15" basic and if you want more power which other brands offer you have to pay more ...but i would sooo love to have a Mac (yeah oooh the vanity
