That aside, that black and white gown is a piece of tailoring wonder!! I love it!

This is the look where the Valentino woman falls out of bed and the first thing she does is pull on her dress. Most important accessory is a hairbrush.

Maybe Marchesa isn't the most original designer, but I think these dresses fit a quite distinct Marchesa style and they're very beautiful.

I don't see any reference to a tub of lard here.
I still can't get that blind item out of my head. I just pretend Georgina is married to someone else.

This collection while still pretty is not as good as previous seasons. The first red dress with the ruffles are a big mess. The black jacket with the feather skirt is so Givenchy.

But overall I'd rather wear one of these dresses than the hideous Valentino Couture frocks presented to us a couple of weeks ago.

ETA: Just went through the whole collection. Ew. What an unholy mess. Even the models look like cr*p in it. I suppose she was taking cues from the current Valentino designers.

I think if she pulled back just a little, her collections would be more beautiful. As it stands, it's just all too much. Though, I suppose that's part of the reason she's 'made' it with celebrities, they love over the top stuff like that.
