Maria Grazia Chiuri - Designer, Creative Director of Fendi

What exactly is difference?

Assuming that it's like the position Tisci and Lee had at Burberry, this means that MGC pretty much has the power to orchestrate a Hedi-level brand for Fendi if she wants to. I asssume that it's the same for Vitale at Versace.

So we are going to see the exact same thing as we did while she was in Valentino and Dior? Sorry a little behind with the news.
There is zero originality from here.

So it's a higher level than creative director?

Well, after all, the Fendi house has been around for a century. I don't know if after Kim Jones and Churi it will be able to survive much longer, hahaha.

It’s a pompous way to say CD. She will have a little bit more responsibility regarding marketing, special projects and things like that.
She will be like a Tom Ford at Gucci, a Hedi Slimane, a Phoebe at Céline or a NG at Balenciaga…Even though I don’t think she will decide on stores. She may be involved but not to the degree those were…

Thank you for explaning.

So it could happen a Maria Grazia Mania in Fendi. Fun? Eheh

Admittedly, I was never a fan of Maria Grazia Chiuri's work at Christian Dior, but for me, MGC at Fendi makes complete sense. On paper, this appears to be a partnership that was meant to be. We will just have to sit back and watch how this all unfolds...

We're going to get Fendiorentino. Some sort of drunk girlboss running around her palazzo in a t-shirt using the Fendi F to spell feminist. I'm almost excited to see how wretched it is.
