It is less spirited and singular than before, surely...
But it is rather refined nowadays..
I think he's managed to mix his child-like aesthetic
with demure sensibilities...
I can't decide if I'm loving it or hating it, rly...

the theme here is " relief ".
it was held in an apartment in paris.
he seems to have wanted to demonstrate how colored things give different impressions when they are composed of black alone, while the material and style is the identical.
when they lose colors, in turn some elements should be brought out in full relief.
or it may be the senses that stand out in sharp relief.
of course there are lots of pieces/textiles in black that are uneven in texture.
where wild boar, bat, monkey, etc are describing the beauty of shades, besides regular cast like flower, leaf, bird, and butterfly.

bats and monkeys sound good!...


i also really like the cut outs on the floor...
i can't tell of it's paper or felt (probably paper)...
such a simple but lovely and creative touch...

Even with our eyes closed,
we can see clothes through senses---touch, smell and feel.
When colors are taken away from the clothes, even clearer we could feel them;
the clothes could leave the RELIEF of its feeling on us.
Light and shadow, colorful and monochrome---
the collection that expresses contrastive feel under the theme of 'relief'.
