Now matter how fancy and creative some designers went, they still kept a few minimalist outfits...

I am a huge fan of simple looking, clean cut/lines, well tailored, minimalist effect outfits and nearly zero jewelry.

Nothing more sharp and fresh.

Minimalism is my favourite "trend" that the fashion indrusty has ever produced.

However, I think it was done a little bit better in the 90s...I don't know if I'm only one thinking this, but they were a little bit better cut.

I'm happy it's back though  Easier to find clothes.

I very much agree with this look....it seems that many times, no matter how many clothes I have in my closet, I always end up running out the door in simple, minimalist outfits. A nice pair of trousers or jeans and a basic, one-colored top. And I am definitely not a fan of tons of jewelry, I'm lucky if I get a pair of pearl studs on.

I like this look a lot....you can really appreciate the beauty of the clothing when you're not distracted by tons of layers or huge earrings the size of steaks.

Angelina Jolie seems to do this on occasion; appears she's a fan of basic black clothing.

^ Angelina Jolie is not exactly my definition of minimalism, she's more classic style.

i've seen a few pictures of french actress elodie b. at shows and she does it very well i think. I'll try to find pics of "real" people trying the look. :flower:

I believe that the minimalist look is the most sophisticated - and I'm all about symmetry and clean cut lines.

^You're right. I'm a bit torn with the classic and the minimalistic look...I think I like a mix of them the best.

I think this is a nice way to go about wearing it. The garment itself isn't 100% minimal, but it is worn very simply.

I also like that you can layer clothes, but still come off looking very simple (pics 3&4)

For me, the challenge with minimalism is making it look especially good. If you're going really plain, a good fit is crucial. Fabric and color is magnified too.

I personally like to add something. As long as it's not a small dangly detail like a necklace. So I'm addicted to scarves.

I like the waistband here.

I guess there are some major different takes on minimalism. It can be a sheer feeling or a concept. Usually I think the feeling of minimalism is associated with white or pale colors. But if you're only thinking about a lack of details, bright colors count too.
