Miu Miu Resort 2011

ohhhhh my it just keeps getting better, polka dot heels!!!!!...just wack!!!!!!!!!

I would rather prefer something boring to these. They are just over the top. I thought the cruise collection is supposed to be more wearable? And I don't like the make up.

I think it's all in the accessorizing that makes it look so messy and all over the place. I'm sure particular pieces would look really good separately, but together with the overload of jewellery, accessories and make-up they get lost.

im suspected to talk anything about miu miu. i love it and i dont know why...

this is old school miu miu and i love it for that reason. miu miu got all serious and grown when it moved to paris, but this reminds us that she's still the younger, impish sister to the fortysomething prada. peel away the styling and some of these pieces and accessories remain retail gold. who doesn't need a fun scoop neck top or campy platforms or a stripey skirt come november when retail's gone black. with its graphic qualities, it reminds me of michael kors spring/summer 2009.

Oh-my-God. It looks like some extravagant lady who decided to wear all of her clothes, accessories (and makeup). Just .

I think people are really getting stuck on the styling rather than the clothes, because the clothes are very Miu Miu. I kind of like the pastel/neon hybrid colors and prints going on, they make those vaguely 30s by way of the 70s-esque dresses seem fresh and funky, as opposed to the ones at Prada that just looked like vintage pieces. Some great shoes too.

Well, it may be hard to get through the heavy styling, at least at the beginning. I'm kind of surprised they didn't choose a simple presentation like they did last season.

PARIS, June 28, 2010

"Fun, sensual, insolent." Miuccia Prada's prescription for Miu Miu's Resort collection nailed its naughty little heart. The clothes were inspired by lingerie shapes and lingerie fabrics like crepe de chine, satin, and sable, but there was another story, too. Prada's undying reverence for Yves Saint Laurent is a strong strand of her design DNA, and there were echoes of YSL's notorious 1971 collection, the one that was scandalously inspired by the shady ladies of Paris in the early 1940's. That old-time raciness was reflected in the "come hither" neon brightness of Miu Miu's color palette, carried over into armfuls of bracelets, and prints of apples and hearts whose cuteness was cut by the fact that they were slightly blurred, like a neon sign.

The languid line of a keyhole-neckline crepe dress or the masculine/feminine flared, cuffed cotton drill pants paired with a fitted military jacket could have been out of Dietrich's closet (her again!), except that the designer preferred the more playful, less ambiguous comedienne Carole Lombard as a reference. "Keep things simplest" is Miuccia's new mantra. Word to the lookbook: one of the most seductive re-creations yet of the glamorous harpies who ruled the pages of Vogue Paris in the heady seventies. As far as the historical references go, Miuccia's convinced nobody remembers anything anyway, which means that Miu Miu fans will find irresistibly colored clothes in proportions that look sexy and new to them.

I saw the whole collection , and yes its jarring but i think its the most brilliant collection i have seen out of Miu Miu, because its rich with details , sophisticated yet sl*tty. Miu Miu brought the Paris vogue 70s disco sl*t to 2010 and I love it hahah. This beats Prada by miles.
here is the full collection

Sorry but Lindsay Lohan actually did the same thing one year ago for Ungaro and got fired
This is one of the worst collections I've ever seen, the prints look soooo cheap and so childish
Who would spend thousand of dollars for something that makes you look like a 12 little girl?

first, remember miu miu is part of the reason lindsay lohan got that job. she got that miu miu ad campaign some time ago and that boosted her so-called fashion cred back then.

further, just take a look at some of their past campaigns. before miu miu grew up in the mid-noughties, it always had this saccharine quality about it.

I don't know about you but I rarely see 12 year old girls wearing clingy satin midi-dresses with wide-open keyholes where their boobs haven't yet grown.:ninja::innocent:

It really reminds me of the collection Luella did years ago with the apple pattern (hers was leagues better however).

ahhhhhhhhhhhhh
WTF???
ok so i take back what i said about this collection being a travesty...its more of a catastrophic disaster of pitifully ugly clothes, disgusting hair and makeup, and crapy models...ugh the only thing making this worst is the fact that i know the every 2 bit fashionista will be flocking to the stores for this

this was worst the Lindsay Lohan's collection for Emanuel Ungaro

^fashionistas wear miu miu resort? in my mind, this collection will go directly onto the backs of a very particular japanese clientel. she has like a million miu miu stores in japan including in the harajuku district of tokyo.
