I think that the Prada cast was fairly decent and lives up to Miuccia's comments several years ago about her preferred model type. Specifically, the cast was bland enough that they did not distract from the clothes and yet they were good enough walkers, of the non-swagger variety, that they did not distract from the clothes. There was some awkwardness, but it was mostly because of how the models were directed. Also there were a few looks that were too sophisticated for the models, but it did not have the little girls playing sexified dress up flavor that I have seen played out in other shows.

Wow, I actually like the Prada cast because most of my fave newcomers are there. Bethany, Colinne, Dempsey, Emily, Roberta, Svea, Daga, Xiao Wen, Josephine, Kate, Juliane, Marique.

I know about two of these girls...damn, I've been out of the game for so long

Anyway, I enjoyed the cast. All very beautifully pretty girls, not many awkward beauties. Who was girl number 4, in crisp white...I totally love her!

Btw Colinne was either a semi-exclusive or nothing at all - she appeared at Anteprima later.

Personally I thought Prada was alright, nothing spectacular. I guess what bothers me about Prada is their insistence on casting certain girls regardless if they fit the current collection/~vision/whatever or not (and I'm talking about older girls here, not trendy newbies). I was thrilled to see Josephine Skriver close though! Girl is beyond gorgeous.

I thought Prada was a pretty well put together bunch, a new overview in young beauty by Miucca & Russel, so to say. The clothes also needed that, to pull off the MiuMiu esthetic. I agree the somewhat 'older' girls kinda stuck out too much. And dont pass me that; "they stuck out because THEY could walk"-schtick cos thats not what Prada is about these days.

^^^^This is what annoys me about Marsh casting in general. He does not select the girls 100% according to the designer's vision IMO. He uses the same girls throughout the entire season.

His universial wappons: Julija S, Sara B, Lisanne DJ, Nimue S, Hanne Gaby Odiele, Kasia S, Sigrid A...
