Model Casting F/W 11.12

It's MacKenzie Drazan, not Hendricks.
I dont know this list looks a little too good to be true, just sayin'....

^yes that should be drazan, got confused
and for the rest you'll see in one hour, I guess

What is that, six Calvin exclusives? Seven depending on Lara's contract obligations.

Feels a lot like Spring 2008 Prada, there's just too many to make it particularly significant. I guess we'll see which rise to the occasion in Europe.

Snooze, I could not possibly be any more bored by CK's exclusives this season.

If the exclusives in the list are accurate, then I'm really glad for Merethe and Mackenzie :D I think they look promising, specially Merethe ^_^

what? if daphne opened the show.. i'm gonna whip my hair back and forth *geez.. wth! such crazyyyyy choice!*

As much as I love Daphne, I find it an odd choice for CK since they are so big on Lara, and Daphne is basically a lookalike of her. So much for diversity!

Yup, I think the casting was a bit weird on the whole. Codie, Ada, Kasia W, Ida and Merethe are interesting girls but i think they don't emphasize the Calvin Klein "signature vision". The girl from San Frans (Mckenzie?) was okay but not that exciting under minimal designs. The Silent NY girl seems to be a bit unexperienced, but her looks is decent. Madelen de la Motte, Maud, Emily and Svea made sense for this collection I think.

not too exciting indeed, then again usually just one of the few CK exclusives makes it big time (Karlie, Jac, Daphne). I think this time will be no different, the question is just who?

If any this season, my bet is on Mackenzie, not only because I find her look the strongest and most unique, but because of the way they are creating a character out of her -- the "blue blooded" girl who buys her horses from Belgium. She does seem intriguing.

^^ After seeing the show, I feel the opposite. Sure, Mackenzie's look is quite interesting... but I'm afraid her appearence didn't deliver what the pictures in her thread promised :(

I feel Merethe can go places, and I did feel she was right for Calvin Klein. There is some sort of 'Charlize-Theron-cool-sleek-blonde' thing in her look that I feel it works for the brand.

Overall, I found the Calvin Klein cast very quiet and tame. I liked the inclusion of Madelen de la Motte in that cast though, she has a sensuality and maturity in her look that works for CK.

The girls that stood out the most for me at Calvin Klein yesterday was girl #1 and #2 Daphne and Merethe. Daphne is of course very striking, but Merethe also looked sensational with her (lack of) hair. She was the only girl with hair above the shoulders. As many have pointed out, she is reminiscent of Charlize Theron.

I found it odd that Maida dropped so many of her exclusives from SS11 .. Theres, Iris, Chavalli. No mercy at all.

I love Merethe, Svea, Colinne and Ida but Mackenzie stands out to me the most. Fingers crossed she's the girl that will be the most successful among the exclusives. I can't wait to see what's in store for her in Europe.

True. But I also think that Daphne doesn't fit the CK "signature vision". Interesting outstandig girl ofcourse, but looking at CKclothes and the other models (except the ones you said) she doesn't fit IMO.

^Completely agree. But add Maud to that list and we call it a quartet.;)

Ashley Brokaw now casts Tommy Hilfiger and VPL, in addition to Proenza Schouler, Narciso Rodriguez and Rag and bone in New York, Balenciaga in Paris and Roberto Cavalli in Milan.
