Model's Age - How Young Is Too Young?

i saw this girl from the London fashion week 05-06
she is so young looks like 10 years old....
what's the obssession with young girls from designers lately?

I totally agree. I really don't like those really young models. Why are girls who are 20 years old not good enough anymore? And all those children have to go to school don't they?

you can link that obsession with younger and younger girls to many things.
the obsessive quest of western culture for youth...think of all the anti-aging products out...
the requirement that models be skinnier and skinnier (far skinnier than in the heroin-chic age of the 90s)...they want prepubescent frames on tall bodies...
it's sick.
the fashion world has messed up ideas.
what happened to glamorous models, like latieta casta, naomi campbell, christy turlington, cindy crawford, etc?
it's saddening.

I do agree it's nasty to put girls at such a young age on the runway, it's scary in a way, especially if their outfit is something slightly revealing. I agree with Mr Dale saying 16 would be right.

^ Fashionista, I really agree with your point of view, I personnally don't see anything glamourous in putting an underweight teen on the runway, it's so sad and annoying and so many people out there look up to them. I do understand the concept of clothes hanging better on that type of body, but it's simply wrong. Our society's values are pretty messed up.

I must disagree with that.The minimum height is 5'8 but there are even some 5'7 models. Polina, Luca, Louise, Diana Dondoe are just a few popular models under 5'9.
