Models Who Aren't That Tall

I think, KhaoticKharma lives in one of the Scandinavian countries or the Nederlands, where people are known to be tall... I heard that an avarage height for a female in Holland is 5'11... I think this must be an exaggeration, though... Also, this actress Sigourney Weaver, who's over 6 feet has once said that she only feels comfortable about her height when she's in Sweden, 'cause most women there are about the same height as her...

This alleged 5'11" average for Dutch women is stretching it a bit! I'd say it's more like 5'8".

I think it has to do with Dutch people's environment actually, because I come from a Dutch family (both parents) and then we moved to South Africa and amazingly I'm only 5'5" (1.65m; maybe I'll still have time to grow), when both my parents are quite tall (Mum: 5'6.5" and dad: 6'1").. When I went to Holland, I was chatting to an extra tall guy, he said was the food (the chickens have too much growth hormones) Gimme some chicken!!

I think she tends to look shorter and thicker than the other models on the runway (at least, those were my thoughts when looking at the Costume National F/W 06 pictures), so she probably is no more than 5'7

there's a backstage picture with her and vlada and another russian model if remember well she was shorter that vlada... vlada is 5'9 ( 176cm ) then i beleive she's shorty...

Yeah, I thought what I heard was an exaggeration, but 5'8 as an avarage means those women are gonna be pretty tall anyway...

I think it's to do with geographic location. It's a well-known fact that in northern countries/regions people generally grow taller... Though, there's no explanation for that yet...

Historically, Europeans are supposed to be shorter and rounder, where Africans are longer and tall. It makes sense- you need speed and less meat in Africa, and more padding to garner heat in Europe! So it's funny that so many Dutch women are huge tall.

i was standing next to anouck lepere at the another magazine / dazed and confused (or was it david yurman?) party at milk studios yesterday...

we had on the same height heels and were the same height (if she was taller it was no more than an inch)...i'm 5'6. there's no way she's taller than 5'7.

but she is absolutely gorgeous in person. wow.

also saw omira (or omyra?), she is about 5'8 or 5'9
