5'2= 177 cm
5'3= 160 cm
5'4= 163 cm
5'5= 165 cm
5'6= 168 cm
5'7= 170 cm
5'8= 173 cm
5'9= 175 cm
5'10= 178 cm
5'11= 180 cm

And for all of your other model needs...

5'8.5= 174 cm
5'9.5= 177 cm
5'10.5= 179 cm
5'11.5= 181 cm

:flower: Hope it helps!

wow thanks

I'm only 5'4... *cries* But Im still growing, but not as fast... Im hoping for another growth spurt or else my dreams are doomed! :cry:

Are there any 5'4 or 5'5 models out there today? I went on the Ford Models site and there truly were a lot of the models signed with the agency were like 5'3 to 5'7! I felt so happy that I wasn't short but now that I researched modelling even further Im sad again! lol

I feel your pain, stylexstar, as I am 5'8" (okay, so I am a bit taller than you...:blush:), but if it makes you feel better, both Devon Aoki and Kate Moss are said to be 5'5", and Audrey Marnay and Liberty Ross have both been called 5'6", and Liberty has quite a runway record, too;). Sources close to Anouck Lepere and Diana Dondoe have mentioned them being 5'7".

If you are intrested, commercial modeling is an option, too. It may be less respected, but you make MUCH more money (like, $2,000 a day vs. $500 in high fashion). Halle Berry did it, so it must be a pretty good start:flower:.

I assume you are a teen, and if you join someone like Ford in the teen division, height won't be as big an issue.

Thanks, khaotickarma! I'm not so sure I wanna do Commercial Modelling, but thanks for the advice! I'm almost 14 years old, so I'm still growing but my relatives are all pretty short/average height so I'm sure I won't be like 5'10 but I still have some hope left!

Kate Moss was 5'5? I thought she was like 5'7?

I'm in my teens too, and my parents are 5'10.5 and 6'6", so I'm doomed to hugeness eventually ;).

I ment to say that Kate is 5'6" - or at least, Twiggy said they were the same height in her book, and the Twigster is 5'6" now (funny fact that may give you hope- she gained two inches in height AFTER she turned 18!).

Wow, you're lucky! My dad is like 5'9 and my mom is 5'4...Im very angry with them! lol How old are you though? I know that people stop growing at different ages but Im not sure when the average is... I read somewhere taht you can have a growth spurt even in your 20's!

Yes you can! Both of my parents got most of their height when they were in college, and there is good chance you're still growing when you're 22! I'm not much older than you are.

Marina is 5'5"! Woah, people tell big lies in fashion :ninja:!

Lydia Hearst is 5'5"/ 165 cm
Ford said she was 5'7"/ 171 cm
1 Models says she's 5'8"/ 173 cm

Anouck is 5'7"/ 171 cm
Why Not said she was 5'8.5"/ 174 cm
IMG says she's 5'9.5"/176 cm

I highly doubt Anouck is even 5'7", Sieska (blonde) is 5'9" :ninja:

Wow! They sure do!

I also had a random question... you know how it is said taht the camera adds on 10 pounds? Well many models look super skinny, almost like skeletons, in images so does that mean they are even skinnier in person? :blink:

wouldn't agencies have more "brain", so to speak, to keep the measurements consistent so that ppl don't speculate? i mean its just funny that they can vary so much...:lol: but if they're gonna lie, then why not get it right?

I dunno:blush:.... There are many people on these boards that have met these models and have commented on how much shorter/taller they are in real life. The agents know that height sells. I belive one model said, and I'm paraphrasing here,

'I was around 5'5 when I went to New York. I said I was 5'7. And they put 5'8 on my card'

I know alot of girls that are 5'8 and look 5'10. And if you can look the part, then why not use that to your advantage...;)
