I've never been told to come back after i've grew an inch or two, but I think it's ridiculous of agencies to tell girls 5'7''-5'9'' that are around age 17-18 to come back after they have grown when most likely they have stopped growing...

That's just they're nice way of saying No. If the girl has it, she has it. 5'10 or not.

stylestar an agent once said that an agency will NEVER take on a girl who they think couldn't do it, no matter what. Many girls 5'10 have been turned down in favor Devon-esque girl who is 5'5", I'm sure!

If you had to tell 20 girls everyday that they were not model material, you are going ot get alot of people trying to fight back, along with some of their mothers, i think you would rather sugarcoat it instead of heading into an altercation with a wannabe model

If a model is short chances are you will never really know unless you see them in person because agents may add an inch or so to the height.
