Models Who Aren't That Tall

yeah look, she is as short as Mona:o
(luca is standing on the far left-wearing white clothes)

they are looking so cute next to Kim and Romina, who look like giants:lol:

In Asia, the minimum height requirement is only about 5"6 for catwalk. If you have dark hair, light eyes combo, ur look would do very well over there!

im 5'7 whooo hooo! lol
i dunno what the big deal is..
but somehow taller ppl tend to present the clothes better.
but comeon! 5'6 5'7 are consider tall if you compare to average americans. we are freaking :D lucky!

In the early 1930's anything over 5'5'' was considered tall, my grandmother is 5'8'' and everyone made fun of her because she was so tall and she even told me that she had trouble finding guys to date her because of her being tall. Rita Hayworth(I know not from the 30's but later) was rumored to have the longest legs in Hollywood.

I love the shorter models...I love how their more rare and harder to come by and to me that makes them unique:heart:

over 5'5 was considered tall? then with my 5'3 frame i might be able to model in the 1930s! lol

Heather is 5'10" but her heels are a bit higher and Katja is 5'9". You do the math.

yeah I think so! At first glance I thought it was Maja L but now I think it is definitley Bianca. I wish they all wore flats, it would make it easier to see their true height! :p

There is something so appealing about a model who is willing to admit she isn't soo tall. But if you fit long pants (which isn't too difficult in five inche heels) and have a killer walk, then a designer has no reason not to cast you. Kiara K. and Kate M. used to do a whole lot of runway in the late 90's. This season seems pretty short, too. ;) :woot:

Just thought this was funny- aren't Caroline and Lily the same height? Hmmm:innocent: ... from style.com

Caroline is 5'11" and Lily 5'10". You can't see Carol's heels she may be wearing or Lily is 5'9" :p

caroline is ref at 180 cm and Lily at 178cm .. 2 cm is approx an inch !
maybe caroline 's wearing heels .. ?
:innocent:

yes perlefine i didn't see your post.
or lily is even 5'8!

No one would ever know exactly how tall a model is...it's all guess work. I s'pose all that matters is that they are successful!

Elle :)

PS. I love love love what Lily D is wearing in that pic, Caroline looks great too!! :)

Caroline's feet are too flat in the picture to be wearing heels. The diffrence between those two looks about the same as the diffrence between me and my mom- she's 5'10.5 and I'm 5'7.5, so there is a good chance that Caroline's 5'11 and Lily is 5'8... it's been said before.:p

Just fyi, if caroline is listed at 5'11..she's probably taller than that. ;) Its not often an agency will list a girl at 6'+

^^^ Very true, AlmostFamous, forgot about that. Oh, and I was wrong- Caroline and Lily are both 5'10 at Marilyn Paris:blush:

I suppose 6'0" is just a little scary?

Hmmm, this means that the girls listed as 6'0" are probably well over that height ... !

It's all very fickle! Short girls being made taller, tall girls being made shorter - so they all can fit into that elusive 5'9" - 5'11" range! ^_^
