Juliana S. and Marine D are both are the shorter side in terms of being models. i havent seen juliana in person but i know she isnt taller than 5'9 and marine who ive see twice, once in nyc and once in paris is not tall at all for a model

I am 5'7, I saw both of Juliana Schurig and Marine Deleeuw. Marine is short, that's a fact, and that's also a matter of proportions as some have already stated. As for Juliana, I really thought she would be taller than she actually is. She usually looks like a giant on the runway, I was so surprised. She was only a little bit taller than me. She was like 5cm taller.

That's really interesting. Proportions are the key it seems.
Of course pretty much all agencies lie about the models' heights but it's ridiculous to what extent they do.

NO way, me and the other interns talk all day about the models. And take it from me, juliana s is on the shorter side. That is, in terms of models. to the average person shes still a very tall girl.

I never compared her to other models in backstage pictures etc. because I never cared but as her name was mentioned here it was quite a surprise.
She just looks very tall on the runway, just like Valentine27 said.

I'd say Juliana is taller than Marine. She must be around 5'9, if the girl in the photo is 5'3 or a little less, that seems totally plausible.

DNA only puts her at 5'9" which is usually code for shorter than that.

My friend recently got signed to an agency and she is a definite solid 5'9, I was with her when they measured her height, and I have measured her myself before. And the website lists her as a solid 5'9, I wonder how many girls are actually that height, I feel like every time we see a girl listed as 5'9 we always immediately think they are shorter than that.

Yeah I was going to say, I feel like the only time you think something is up is when they are listed at 5'7" or 5'8" as in they are 5'6" or 5'7". Another time is when they are listed as 5'11.5" is probably code for 6' +

I think it is quite common for girls listed as 5'9" to actually BE 5'9". It's the minimum height requirement, so there is no need to lie.

My daughter is with an LA and NY agency and we have found
when an agency lists
5'9" the model is code for probably closer to 5'8"
5'9 1/2" is for models who are 5'8 1/2 to 5'9"
5.10 is for 5'9 1/2 to 5'10"
and 34.5" hips is code for 35+"
otherwise they put you at 34" unless you happen to be in the 33-33.5"
range
Many models on this thread are listed as 5.9 and just aren't. Sasha is listed as 5.8 1/2 so they couldn't even get
away with the 5.9" lie. if you are lucky enough to be 5.9 they will usually add at least 1/2" to your card.

Holy God that is crazy, and Jasmine is just about 5'9 and Martha 5'10" or so, that would put Sara at around 5'7. I know she is standing a bit farther back but there is still a major height difference.

Sara is 5'7. she was at first listed as 5'9 but in an interview said she was the exact same height as kate moss
