Most Overpriced Designer?

I agree with pillarist. Dolce & Gabbana is definitely overpriced for its quality.

Recently I tried selling some stuff I had from D&G on E-Bay and I noticed how much its value plumits after you purchase it. Shirts and jeans I paid $200 for were now being sold at $5, $10. Disgusting! :yuk:
I rather donate the clothing to people who need it than making a lousy profit.

and another note there is NOTHING "couture" about juicy, period.

Can someone please tell me why this 100% cotton shirt is $72.00?

Thier tacky, "tweeny"-looking, neon colored, hand bags are like 400 bucks!? Are they kidding?

I dont blame them for tapping into the American teenage market- its a smart business move to charge the crap out of girls who want to be "trendy".

I think clothes are "overpriced" because that's how it has always been and when you have millions, spending 1000.00 for a shirt, is nothing. I on the other hand, refuse to shell out 1000.00 for a cotton shirt, instead I'd rather give to charity.

Dolce and Gabbana... I saw a polo from D&G a couple of days ago... it has sylvester and tweety on it.. very nice but... 150 Dollars! That's just insane for that quality

You're exactly right about that. I put a pair of D&G jeans on ebay a year or two ago with an opening bid of $9.99 expecting them to fetch $50 or so... only one person bid on them. I felt so stupid, because I had paid a lot for them but put a low, no-reserve opening bid to "encourage bidding." So, needless to say, I lost a lot of money. Now, if I have D&G items that I don't wear anymore, I just give them to friends.

hm... only because its from juicy its that expensive.. if H&M has a T like that, it'll only cost 40$ or maybe even less...

I find Prada to be outrageously overpriced. $1200 for a camisole? It's bogus! Elitist much?! just kidding. it's her right to do that if she wants. i still disagree.

I agree with you completely sweetie, her stuff should atleast come with a little runway foldout inside the shopping bag or something, if it's priced that expensively. They don't even have a website! I notice also that some MIU MIU shoes are more expensive than even Prada's mainline collection.

the moschino cheap and chic line is pretty expensive for what you get... same with marc by marc... the quality of both lines is verrrry questionable

overpriced but worth it: I would have to say Canali suits (they fit great :)) and from what I've experienced, Valentino is great quality too.
LMAO! I love that oxy! $300 is cheap and chic;)

LMAO. Yeah. It's all marketing. The flagship stores. The compnay never generates any money. Miu Miu in opinion is better than Prada in some respects.

Marc by Marc Jacobs is what came to my mind too. The 'genre' is unusual compared to most other lines right now, but that's all he has going for him. I know the idea is that the clothes are supposed to be simple & demure -- but they are poor fits. Fit shouldn't have to be sacrificed in order to stay away from sexy cuts. His cottons aren't soft weaves, and he never uses luxury fabrics. (I do like the cashmere pieces he has in Marc Jacobs collection sometimes.)
you're right- the fit on the marc by marc line IS horrible. It must be a junior cut.
