Watched the episodes and I just LOVE this show! It's like how ANTM should be if it were'nt such a joke. Entertaining but enjoyable and full of beautiful girls that look like models.:D

I think most of the girls left stand out in their own right already, but Ajoh, Rebecca Rose and Rhiannon are my top 3 picks. Especially Becca, that paint picture is to die for.

Thanks for the links guys! I'm tired of ANTM, I need to see some others NTMs. It looks promising.^_^

You don't have to download them, they're streaming online videos. Just click on the play button twice (first red, then green). I think there's a time limit on how much you can watch in one day or hour or something like that.

I'm really liking this show and the makeovers were actually an improvement. Christobelle and Laura are still my favourites by a mile.

you are right its going !!! Thank you so much I have to watch it later :woot:

I think these girls have great potential. Rebecca's shot is great, but it would have been absolutely stunning if she had closed her mouth, imo. I really look forward to seeing more :D

This week there was a Covergirl makeup challenge, then a couture photoshoot on a beach with photographer Karen Inderbitzen-Waller. I think generally the girls performances were relatively low compared to previous shoots. Rhiannon was eliminated.

I would be interested to hear the opinions of any non-New Zealanders who are watching this show.

Personally I am shocked. I think the girls lack the confidence and unique looks to make it in the modelling industry, our New Zealand accents sound horrifically sloppy on air and the presenter (Sara Tetro) is such a dislikable character.. I wont even bother to mention Colin Mathura Jeffree!

I apologise if this post makes me sound like a horrible, bitter, twisted little person but I know I am not alone in my opinions and I also know that New Zealand contains a lot of incredible potential and already signed models (obviously they are all too smart to subject themself to over-commercialised, public ridicule).

I find the program a very disappointing representation of the New Zealand modelling industry and hope people aren't lead to believe this as being the best that we have.

Already a thread here: http://www.thefashionspot.com/forums/f96/new-zealand-s-next-top-model-76969.html

I actually completely disgree with you. I think the casting was excellent and the girls actually have a lot of modelling potential, unlike other NTM shows. On forums such as RTVgames many have commented on the quality of the girls and also the production of the show. I actually had low expectations, but after watching I am really impressed considering NZ is such a small country and TV3 has such a limited budget. As for Sara, I think she is excellent, she owns one of NZ's top agencies and has a lot of knowledge in the industry. This is just my opinion

This week (episode 6) there was a challenge where the girls had to pose with an object...some were unlucky and got toilet paper  The photoshoot was a jewellery shoot for a Michael Hill watch, which I kind of liked  Bottom two was Rebecca-Rose and Ajoh. Ajoh was eliminated

THanks Bamhutt... I'm sad because ajoh was my favourite!! she's soooo beautiful!!!I'm stopping watching the show now!!

slightly related to this thread ... (btw im a fan for the 2 episodes i got to se!!) ... iv started a Rachel Hunter page on facebook for those interested in the original kiwi model ... my page is dedicated to Rachel's fashion & commerical work including her work with photography legends such as Avedon, Meisel, Demarchelier, Scuvallo, Albert Watson & more ... im after some of her tears from Vogue (US, Paris, Deutsch, Australia, Italia) as well as her work in the international editions of Elle and US Harpers Bazaar ... any help would be greatly appreciated ... thanks guys ..

Lol at the first post saying women are short in New Zealand - the average height of a Kiwi woman is 5"5, compared with 5"4 in the US and 5"3 in the UK...and what that amounts to means that when you walk down the streets of your average NZ town, you see plenty of tall women! I'm 5"8 and never felt 'tall' growing up in New Zealand, whereas when i first moved to the UK i felt like a giant!

Anyway, i think NZ definitely has some top model potential, but the thing about 'typical' kiwi girls is that there's kind of a 'same-ness' - i don't know how to describe it but kiwis will know what i mean, a lot of girls just end up looking pretty much identical! I think they've done well to find some interesting looking girls for the show.

Well I posted that comment about height, I think you are correct. I made that comment because I thought NZ women seemed to be shorter than women in other countries which I have visited, I must have been noticing all the giants

I kind of understand what your saying about the 'same-ness' thing, I can't really explain it either

So true Grace..... but there's only 4 million of us so there's so few to choose from....i think the sameness has something to do with how people style themselves also...... in Italy, I felt very tall though

was anyone else really surprised by the amount of girls saying 'yaaay we're going to the south island i've never been to the south island' or 'yaaay we're going to auckland i've never been to the north island' ?! i can't believe that it's so common for people not to have traveled at all within nz?! Seemed pretty strange to me, especially the girl who lived in wellington who said she'd never been to the south island!!

You tube links gone, anyone know what the megavideo links are? I'm never able to search for them there.
