I love how he managed to do such vibrant colors and loud prints so tastefully! It's beautiful. The runway, the makeup, the hair...so perfect.


FINALLY! A New York Designer got it right! I was so bored with everything else, it all seemed straight out of an urban outfitters catalog.

It's quite curious how a simple change of venue can cause such a dramatic reaction from people. Notice the clothes are all very similar to last season's and the season before, yet there are four pages of comments and still no sign of the entire collection on Style.com or Elle.com.

i agree with you big time. Its all about the venue for most people. Oscar De La Renta always delivers! All of the sudden his collection is not boring all b.c of the new venue.

^Can you blame people? This season has been relatively stale, the same makeup, the same location, the same colour palette...so the act of taking an already respected designer into a new venue with live music by a respected band...if you give somebody a cheeseburger who has only eaten carrots for a month then it's going to taste 50 times better.

I would wear every single piece in this collection and the red pieces especially are incredible. It's a very vibrant and eclectic collection and I adore it (but I adore all things Oscar anyway)
