Jil Sander Mens F/W 08.09 Milan

Wow indeed! I desperatly want to see more pictures, especially of the jacket in te first picture, infact, all the jackets look amazing! The prints are intresting too.

Funny, those were my thoughts exactly Spike! I love that collar, very fresh and interesting structurally. The marble print, I guess we'll call it, is unique but for me somehow too fluid for Jil Sander (if that makes sense). I'll have to see the entire collection to get a better grasp on where that fits.
I know exactly what you mean re: the marble print but I think it's a fresh direction and new innovation for Jil Sander, mere tweaking of the aesthetic I think.

This looks interesting. Nothing over the top, but still got potential to get me arroused ;P

It's a straight up gorgeous collection. Give me a minute and I'll post all of it. :D

I'm officially saving for those creepers. The knitwork seems impressive, who said the skinny pants were gone, well these are leggins. It's a pity I can't wear none of the pants...

last 2 on #29 and the first 4 on #30 are just perfection!

the patterns on some of these are definitely risqué... but still love cut and proportion and jsut Raf in general

I love Raf, too! Not surprising to not see Fionn here, especially since he is supposed to be in Milan! HAHA.

The opposite of rubbish is this collection. It's fabulous. Well, as long as you are a size double zero.

this is really, really cool :woot: I love so many of the pieces. The prints are quite unique but not for me

I LOVE this collection. I would wear almost all of it. I think the marble looks are genius, I love the warped lumberjack plaids, and the suits are really sharp. Really well done.

I like this collection. Not in love with it but I think it's definitely got some components that add on to Raf's previous collections for Jil.

The skewed plaid pieces are excellent as are the textured jackets and coats and of course, the knitwear is great and a lot of it looks very similar to his pieces from last Fall/Winter.

I am however, not too fond of the leather jackets, the other prints (marble and the tree-esque), and some of the colored suits.

But overall a good collection.

the cut of this collection is odd; the cut is extremely feminine. the bust of the jackets and the shape through the hip is made to accomodate hips and breasts. the shape of the shoulders is also not particularly masculine. now there's such a thing as innovation and change of shape, but this is the feminization of men. it's aggrovated by the appearance of the models who lack that muscular development of a man (but some idiot is going too say something about blah blah models have to be thin to wear the clothes - no they don't). it's an odd collection for a house which isn't known to be on a good financial footing, and which has a revolving image in fashion. raf should create a stronger identity, and diverge from it less wildly. the more extreme designs would be better at a later date, after the house is re-established to a greater degree.
