Paul McCartney and Heather Mills split...

Paul McCartney Attempts To Gag Man Over Linda's Secret Diary Tapes
Beatle gets desperate... Sir Paul McCartney has issued a gagging order against an old friend of his first wife Linda, Peter Cox.
The reason for the order is that Cox has 15 audio tapes that contain Linda McCartney’s secret diary that could possible thrown a new light on their 29 year long marriage.
Macca has threatened to take Cox to the high court unless he agrees in writing to never make the tapes public.
An insider said of Linda’s tapes to the Mirror: “They’re dynamite. Linda begins to unburden her troubles and the tapes become an audio diary.
“It’s a private and emotional confessional. She vents feelings which she’d not dared share with even her closest loved ones. She found the tapes cathartic.”
The move from Macca came after his lawyers realised that his estranged wife Heather Mills could use the tapes against him in a divorce battle.
Linda and Peter Cox wrote ‘Linda McCartney’s Homes Cooking’ together in 1989 as they became close Cox spent more and more time with Linda at her family home in Peamarsh.
Now, Cox is a literary publisher and holds the only remaining copies of Linda’s tapes. If he is sub-poenaed by Heather Mills, Cox could find himself in court as a witness for her.
The insider added that there was no love lost between Macca and Cox even when Linda was alive: “Peter never got on with Paul. They rubbed each other up the wrong way.
“Even after Linda’s death, there was no thawing of relations. Peter was rankled he wasn’t invited to Linda’s funeral. He’s never forgiven Paul for that.”
Could Peter Cox ruin Macca with his secret tapes?

I just found out about these supposed audio journals of Linda's  I have to wonder why Paul McCartney is so keen to keep them under wraps..

On another note, could someone please tell me why Kate Moss felt a need to insert herself into the McCartney divorce. I didn't realize that she was such an expert on their marriage :innocent:

^ That's just a report by a tabloid, though, isn't it? So probably not true.

Who keeps an 'audio journal' by the way ?

Now I am not saying that is is and I certainly don't know anything about the character of either of them but IF the allegations of abuse ARE true... then Heather must be going through hell. This reminds me of the Beckhams/Rebecca Loos time... even though David was the one who cheated, Victoria got blamed and crucified for it. Even if the abuse turns out to be true and Heather gets his money, she will STILL be hated... you wonder what it would take to have the public swing into a woman's favour when the favour is already into the favour of the her significant other.

I am not disputing what you guys are saying, but I find it interesting that you say she is a gold digger and pathological liar, what makes you think/know that? Like I said I don't know anything about her. This is all so interesting especially from a sociological point of view. What else has she lied about?

Sorry for long post :p

Everyone with a bit of sense knows Heather Mills is a cold, calculating b*tch. We knew it when she was married to Paul and we know it even more now. However, the media is giving this impression she is satan and Paul is a saint. The media alleges that Heather has lied about a lot of things, including a fabricated r*pe and abuse charge, making p*rn*gr*ph*c pictures, sleeping with rich arab oil dealers for money, taking another persons identity for her own personal use and so on. There really is no end the amount stuff there is out there about her.

Lets just say theres never been a better time to admit you always prefered the Stones. You wouldnt see Mick going through a horrible public divorce. Hed be living it up, dying his hair and trying on a brand new sequinned outfit for the next tour...

I can remember a few years ago .. my friend lives next door to pauls merseyside property .. and we were around at her house and next door (the mccartneys staff) set off fireworks into the sky saying paul loves heather and then an other one saying bea (there daughter) and now they are split up .. madness.
Its the kid i feel sorry for .. why does it all have to be so public :(

It's public because Heather wanted to take it through the public.

^^ its the kid i feel sorry for though with all the stories in the paper .. its only going to come back to her at school whens shes older .. shes going to get bullied .. youd think heather would have more sense

Yeah. The poor girl is always going to think things about each parent that aren't true, you can't avoid it. It's a shame Heather Mills had to hurt her child just for money, I know she's cold but thats just disgusting.

Well kate Moss is a close friend of Stellas so she would probably know a fair amount about the marriage.

Heather has been a proven liar, didn't she once write in her book that she was kidnapped as a child when it was her friend who got kidnapped?

Paul McCartney should have protected himself with a pre nup.

I think Paul is keen to keep the audio tapes private because they are just that Private. His marriage to Linda seemed very sacred and I doubt he wants to share his last remaining bits of her.

Yoko couldn't sell us on a Lennon musical (where's the peak? the denoument? You'd need Samuel Beckett to dramatize that sh*t), so I don't think Paul could profitably foist a "Linda!" (warning! intense off-key warbling wav file) Broadway feature upon the public.

Stick with the Cirque du Soleil and pray no one else gets hurt.

I think it's pathetic that Heather is dragging up information about Linda. Linda is dead and cannot defend herself nor her marriage to Paul. I th ink it's the lowest thing somebody can do. It's the same as the Diana tapes. The woman was dead and did not state whether she wanted these documents released. it instantly ruins Heather's credibility to try and taint what appeared to be a loving marriage that was ended all too soon by a tragic disease, I doubt Linda would ever have come out and made those claims and as such, I have no respect for Heather.

This has turned into such a mess, everybody is called in to testify even the dead (poor Linda)

I did hear he was tough but I think it's just financially. He's one of those real life Scrooges. That's the only thing I know he can be a jerk about. :innocent:

I always find it...fascinating that a couple who once loved each other can turn into such bitter enemies.

it's so obvious this women is a very manipulativing gold digger...
it's just sad....i know this news was old but to blame the media...
if you truly love someone...no media is gonna get in the way...
duh..it was his money she was after and she even had his child!
I cannot stand this b*tch...

she does a lot of charity work

Heather offered to sign a pre-nup, Paul said no so it's his loss. Bit of a moot point as they aren't legally binding in UK courts, the courts will award her what they see fit.

charity work is rubbish....she did it to gain everyones approval...
If you are gonna marry Sir Paul ... charity and humanitarian is a must...
It's a status thing when you are that rich regardless is it's sincere

and the pre-nup thing...pure genius of a munipulative women

Now, by "charity" do you mean:

"Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing."

...or do you mean the Street Sheet I bought from that hungry old abandoned hippie in the Haight last week? Because I'm full of that crap, I call it "Hamburgers, Steak Burritos and Cups of Coffee for the Limbless Victims of Black Tar Heroin Who Were Sold a Dream at Haight and Stanyan, circa 1967, Charitable Trust". That's enobling and virtuous, isn't it? It evens things up. It demonstrates my charity and humanitarianism well enough. I like humans. I like forsaken, almost humans, too. Marry me, Paul.

However, that first bit about charity, by Saint rather than Sir Paul, I never quite got that. That's asking alot, isn't it? I think I can wish it away because it is...er... discomfiting. I've given a whole helluva lot and it's never enough--sounding brass & tinkling cymbals--it's always more, more, more. The Lord sends in his holy golddiggers...

I mean, just what is this agape? Is it some lesson to learn, a maze you can master, until you get it down pat? I bought the Arthur Murray faith footprints, I pasted them to the floor, and I dance, dance, dance. Sh*t keeps happening to me. "To get into heaven/don't snap for a seven/ live clean/don't have no faults", like Aretha sang. I took it to heart.

I think Sir Paul and I could build a relationship built on a foundation of trust, preferably an irrevocable living trust, but the details are negotiable. It'd be a sure thing, Paul, we'd have a great thing going. Let's touch base. My people, your people: whole continents of hungry people.

Salvation!
