i think patent leather is timeless as well...

:p

pucci, the apc sandal is really perfectly you, I think.

the prada seems a bit too hippy and busy with all those straps...even in black.

do you want me to check the apc store in NYC for you? I know i have seen size 35 there in the past. :flower:

Softgrey.. exactly..'classic' is a point of view really. ;)

Thanks Laika..

Yes, the Apc are quite similar in shape w/buckle on the side to a suede pair which I got from Topshop... and adore.. <3
I guess that is the reason why I am also a bit hesitant.. although the quality on apc is quite good, no?

oh pucci...
if you have those already then i would say you might not need another pair...
they are incredibly similar to the apc's...

and to be honest...i might actually like the topshop ones even better...
:p

^ They are quite similar, but I still prefer the APC--I loves the shiny patent :p I guess the question is will you still be interested in wearing them next year ...

^ Can't runner or someone help you get your hands on the zebra-with-a-fever shirt?

I was feeling so uninspired over the past few months, but over the past couple of weeks I have found myself so inspired and taking my wardrobe & personal style in a completely different direction... It's an exciting time!

belowen - what snapped you out of it? any particular stimulation, or the change in seasons?

very very recently i had an entirely unfamiliar sensation - total satisfaction with my wardrobe.

I think it had a lot to do with the change of season to winter, the change that I feel inside of myself as a more feminine sort of vibe... I think becoming a mother has really changed the way I look at myself, and present myself.

it's hard to say how different you dress because you never really posted pics of what you were wearing until after the baby...
i assume that the baby had something to do with you having a digicam now!...

...

but what ever has happened...
motherhood seems to be agreeing with you and you look absolutely lovely...

So I decided not to get either of the sandals... I feel like I am liking too many things at the moment, and when I do that I try to slow down.. to get a clear direction again.

I usually think if an item is really great it should jump at me..not be between many..

interesting. having a child did not change how i see myself. i definitely feel a strong continuity of my personal style, from it's earliest emergence through now...but i am effected to the extent that i feel a stronger-than-ever need to identify myself, in all respects, clothing being one of them, because it's easy to get lost as a parent, i found, since i was so deeply immersed in my child, her well-being, her existence, from the get-go. so i simultaneously struggled to be a mother (in the way i wanted to be and that felt right) and also be 'me'.

it is hard when there is so much good stuff.

so i posted a question on one of my blogs this week that might fit here (the whole blog is about personal style, but this 1 in particular might make for interesting discussion here):

which one takes priority in dictating your style, your inside you or your outside you?

^ Interesting question. I would say primarily the outside me, because I definately believe in dressing for your shape. But within the guidelines of what I feel I should wear to suit my body, I then express the inside me with my personal style.

So it is raining today and I am supposed to go to an outdoor event... I don't really have any shoes for mud.

i'll give you my gumboots pucci! :woot:. ....
