i love piercings, when they're done for the right reasons. i have 11 piercings and a tattoo, i think they all suit me. never have i ever tried on an outfit and thought it would look better without my piercings. they have become a huge part of me.

As in the 'studs' just a small glistening piece on your nose,

i pierced once and... it inffected. then i got it done again. infected again.

imo it's hard to pull off. only a small amount of people will look good. the others will look like they are doing it just because it's the thing to do. not that i'm saying you are following the crowd or whatever.

Most people do it because it's cool and they look like trash. Or maybe it's just because around here most people who do have their nose pierced are white trash.

i did becouse my nose is the best feature on my face *everybody tells me that*, becouse i wanted to move the attention from my mouth *huge lips get the attention, braces on the lower teeth doesnt make the view so good* to my nose and becouse i find it pretty.


too bad it didnt work out.

If I got one it would be a tiny crystal looking stud nothing like Christina Aguilera's huge nose ring and I am doing it because my nose has little definition and when I hold up a stud to my nose it makes it appear more interesting and less like a blob.

Do you think the tiny ones look trashy?

i have had my nose pierced for about 5 years and i love it... have no intentions of taking it out any time soon (and i'm a professional who deals with people all day). it's so tiny that you can barely see it, which is what i like about it. the first time i saw my parents after i had it pierced, my dad didn't even notice it until we were well into the day

i always wear an 18g titanium nostril screw. the "ball" part itself is actually totally flat on one side and domed on the other, so it lays very flat against my face and is very discreet. the titanium is duller than stainless which i like. i've never had an infection or a problem with the piercing. i'm not even aware of it half the time anymore to be honest.

if you're looking for something tiny, look for something like what i have. the crystal-y ones almost always stick out, and are definitely more showy imo. and make sure that they don't pierce it too low... if it's in the crease, it'll be more discreet!

i do think that you have to have the right look and the right attitude to pull it off, though. i don't like the piercing on everybody.

I think they can be really cute, IF you have an absolutely perfect nose, because that is where all the attention is going to be.

I have a really horrible nose and the only thing I'd consider doing to it would be a nose job. ha.

This is a piercing that is suiting to some people and others not. I like small discreet ones like crepeblacksatin described and generally liked nose piercings since all of my Indian friends have them and the way they pulled it off was really nice (simple stud...a jeweled one for an occasion). Lately though I keep seeing really trashy girls get them and even though their jewelry isnt that bad, its the way that they carry themselves and pull off the piercing is very cheap.

I'm sure though you'll look good with yours. Enjoy your piercing

I think on most people the nose stud looks a bit cheap and common sorry, all you people out there..it's just my opinion - take no notice if you want Only very few people can pull it off.. to be on the safe side, you shouldn't get it done, incase it doesn't suit you, it gets infected, it isn't practical or, you get bored with it. But. it's your nose, your opinion and your stud If you want the nose piercing - go for it girl!

I have a super tiny piercing in my nose... the screw i have is so small.. people barely notice it...

I've had it for 4 years.... I dont plan on getting rid of it anytime soon.. only because I barely realize I have it in there anymore ...

took a while getting used to blowing my nose... or drying my face off after I took a shower... Owie! Terrycloth towels were tricky at first

I am planning on getting my nose pierced too.
But, I'm thinking of a thin ring in silver
My nose is average sized but I have always wanted one SO BAD.
But I have a question...you all talk of the people who look trashy and i definitely agree, some people look cheap... but do you think people with really uniques styles look bad with them? I have a hippieish style and i dont know if it will look good or bad.
