Pre-raphaelite Models

 very cute :flower: the second picture does look like heather :bounce:

I hope you don't mind, but I looked at your other albums. Very nice stuff you've compiled there. B)

I have a friend who looks exactly like a pre raphaelite model and an older (and taller) version of Natalia Vodianova.

I flattered you did. The Pre-Raphaelites are another one of my fascinations. :P
This is kinda OT, but I have a recommendation for your albums (click here). Looks dullish on the web, but I've seen it in person, and it's a very striking piece.

It's gorgeous HBoogie, thanks so much! :flower: (Sadly, I can only use images that are listed on the artmagick site in my albums, but it has now been added to my personal list of favourite paintings! :P Actually, I could probably ask the head of the site to add it, since it is from the correct artistic period and would fit in quite well.)

Whoo! His work has just been added to artmagick! His paintings are so gorgeous... :woot:

;) How creative you are Purplelucrezia, you make us all sit up and think about what we are seeing. The models likness to the pictures is perfect.

Thank-you.

I love your site, purplelucrezia. I adore things like this...I love to see how you might see several people with the same type of interesting nose, or the same angle to the set of their eyes and think, "She really reminds me of the girl in Andrew Wyeth's "Christina's World," or, "that guy looks really familiar, but I know I don't know him!"

The fact that so many models from classic paintings look similar to today's most popular photographic models suggests that a similar ideal of feminine beauty has been around for a while, at least in certain circles. Bohemian, for the pre-Raphaelite painters, a little more mainstream for today's much-pictured beauties.

Thanks, I'm glad you like it. Yeah, it's really interesting to examine how the human eye views certain facial features. I guess our ideals of beauty really haven't changed that much through the ages. Perhaps it's ingrained in us.

Yes, it is really interesting to examine how the human eye views certain facial features, this is very true, I suppose our conception of beauty will never really change!

Since I'm basically being selfish right now, I've decided to create this topic. Hopefully it inspires some other people as well. :flower:
To open, here's Isabeli Fontana.
