Proenza Schouler for Target

i'm really pleased with what i got, having finally gone out to the riverhead store on long island. they had a nice selecion and had my size in everything i actually wanted.

i got the green & white striped l/s tissue tee, the navy with white chain-print tissue tank, the navy windbreaker, the plaid zip-up jacket, the purple buttoned skirt, and a black jersey dress with drawstring, which would be especially great if it came in other colors.

i thought the sizing ran a little big? i got smalls in a lot of things i'd normally wear medium.

I found it depended upon the piece in regards to the size. I never trust sising any more. I hope the pieces I ordered over e-mail are correct...

does anyone know when target is expected to restock?
im dying to get the palm print bikini

I went to my local Target yesterday afternoon and they barely had anything. I'm not sure if everything sold out quickly and/or if that particular Target didn't stock up yet. There was only about three racks of the basic PS clothes (like the vests, the solid colored shirts, pants & skirts and the palm print jacket) and no accessories. I was disappointed in what I saw and my boyfriend thought that the quality was poor. The latter can be expected, but I hope that the quality of all the things I ordered will be better and will fit.

I will probably check the other Targets in my neighborhood to see if they have the stuff I wanted/ordered so I can try them on there.

ches129, dont worry the palm print bikini hasnt been posted yet in target.com/go.

what colors do the tissue tanks come in? anyone know?

On the commercial, there is a yellow jacket... is that on the Target website (or does anyone have a picture of it from somewhere else)? I've seen the blue and red jackets in the store, but what about the yellow? I would like to see what it looks like.

the yellow jacket is the hooded anorak.

there's a great pic of it in the new issue of US marie claire with hilary swank on the cover. there's also a short interview with PS in it.

I came back from Target with the brown bustier dress (size 1) and gray cropped cardigan (XS). I also tried on the purple bustier dress in size 1, which fit me like a glove (I am a 32B if that helps anyone). The size 1 in brown fit looser, for some reason.

I've heard there is a difference in fit between the grape bustier and blue bustier? Would anyone mind giving me the band measurements of both in an XS? I may have to buy on eBay, so I want to make certain about fit. Thanks in advance!

I am still on the fence about quality. Forty bucks for a cotton dress, dunno. Someone also got to the size 1's before me, tried to jam themselves in and strained the zipper.:(

Just a tip: I think the DPCI number is used for store merchandise. It might give you guys a heads-up about what is or will be in stores. I don't think it is 100%, as there are items without the DPCI number online that are already in-store.

i've only seen the tissue tanks in the brown and green with the chain print...

haven't seen any solid out, but i guess we can assume red is one of the colors since that is what they show the blue bustier with..

I got the chain bag today, with some other stuff like the bubble jacket. I love the jacket! I may bring it back for an XS because it does seem to run bigger than the usual GO stuff, but I love it. I may even get it in striped, too. I'd wear them by themselves in warmer weather! The bag is huge and has to be carried in the hand, can't be carried over the shoulder. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. It has shiny plastic/vinyl trim at the top I wasn't expecting. The print is nice, though. I could probably fit an entire box of diapers in it, and maybe a few outfit changes. LOL! I'll have to see what it'd look like carrying it with some normal clothes on...(I'm just bumming around in my sweats right now).

I had ordered that red windbreaker before the line came out in stores. Once I saw it in the store the other day, I logged on and cancelled it as fast as I possibly could. It looked so cheap, thin, and ugly in person! Maybe the anoraks are a better quality. I'm pleased enough with the double breasted jackets, though.

just wanted to report, since people had questions on how things fit and such: i got the blue bustier top, the palm print cotton gauze dress with the square neckline, and the hooded sweatshirt today. i'm usually a size 4-6 and dresses in terms of tops (a 34B bust, with well-developed arms and shoulders from years of ashtanga yoga) and the size medium in the bustier fits quite nicely. (i have to say, if you are smaller in the bust you should go small, but you may be able to squeeze into the medium if you are a C cup.) the detailing is great with the stitching, the colors vivid but not tacky (i was a bit worried...teal makes me nervous!) and the fabric is decent.

anyway, the palm print cotton gauze dress is very charming and pretty. i'm not a huge prints person, but i love the colors and the small pleating and navy piping on the waist and around the neckline! i can't wait for summer to wear it, it's a perfect hot weather frock AND it's lined. the fabric is cotton -- decent, not the best quality but i've seen a lot worse. i got the size medium, and it fits just slightly loose (i could have probably gone small)...there's a bit of gapping in the back that can probably be fixed with a slight shortening of the straps. i'm trying to decide if i want to order the small, but i can live with the medium, especially since i'll probably wear the dress in the summer, and the heat always makes me hate tight clothes in any way. to those who are interested in ordering this dress and are around my size (5' 2", 34B, 4-6), the medium is slightly loose but comfy, and the small might be better fitting around the shoulders and bust but tighter around the waist...

the hooded sweatshirt is comfy and cute...it's designed to fit on the snug, shrunken side. the medium on me is slouchy-cool in a way that i wanted, but those who want a more precise fit should get a small.

i hope this helps those who are ordering online and are wondering what size to get! i'm due to get the brown bustier dress as well...let's see how the sizing gods treat me!

In Atlanta, they haven't put the line out here yet - one target I called said tomorrow, but it took getting 3 people on the line before they knew what I was talking about.

Anyone know how the sizing runs on this dress yet please?
I got the silk cami and the bustier dress both in a size bigger then I normally would and they are both too big.
TIA

I should be getting mine in the mail by the end of the week. I'll let you know.

I got my purple dress (had to go a size up) but it fits perfect! really cute. Also got the silk scarf - it is adorable and has a nice quality to it - doesn't feel cheap. I'm happy with the quality overall.

Did you get the scarf at a store or online? I havn't seen any in the stores. Same thing with the bags.

I saw the bags in the store the other day (well, actually 2 bags, 2 clutches) But I want to see the scarves in person!

nogoodforme, thanks for the report. what about potential wrinkling with the gauze dress? do you think that will an issue?
