Rei Kawakubo / Comme des Garcons for H&M Designer Collection

I'm sorry but I don't really get why people would buy that bag, the quality is Sh*it and you'll see people all over the place having the same bag as you..:ninja:;)

I agree totally have seen the original Comme Polkadot bag in Dover Street Market and its much better. With accessories you do have to cough up the cash !!

I bought 2 white button down shirts for myself and a navy cardigan for my girlfriend at the H&M on 34th and Broadway. The cardigan is a large though so I might sell it on eBay and buy a medium for her. There should be a rule against people grabbing whole racks and trading for other stuff.

I'm sure most of the hoarders are excited to sell their stuff on ebay. Those hooligans! lol

I'd rather get something from the CdG main line than get a way too overpriced item from the CdG x H&M collection on ebay. :D

I went to the the H&M in Herald Square. I ended up getting the dropped crotch wool pants, the wool tailcoat, the asymmetric colorblocked shirt, a navy/white polka dot cardigan, a white collared shirt with two large ruffles, the scalloped hem dress, and a fedora.

I'm really frustrated. I was originally looking for the asymmetric deconstructed pencil skirt and the deconstructed jacket with the peter pan collar. And that navy quilted men's shirt.

Did they even carry those items at the 5th avenue H&M? The Herald Square H&M had a crappy selection, and I'm pretty frustrated with my loot.

did anyone get to see / try this dress?

screencapped from hm.com

im wondering what fabric is the top. and how it looks in person. i really WANT it but i cant get to hm till tomorrow/saturday so... i dont know. and they better carry it cause it's the only hm in central italy that carries this collection.

Oh, I have that dress. The top half of the dress is a cotton velvet and the bottom is a wool plainweave. I'm really happy with it.

I saw that dress to, and it looked really nice IRL but not so nice that I wanted to get it^^

I think it was in Japan that they only could buy 2 pairs of each...I kind of wish they had that rule here to because I saw ladies with their hands packed with all sizes just taking like a whole rack

so report in from Toronto
Just got back right now, waited in line for two hours and a bit (had been there since 7:50, doors at 10) in the pouring rain and freezing cold, everyone was asian except for myself and maybe three other people. Second the door opened it was absolute MAYHEM! Total frenzy! Didn't even get to SEE the perfume or drop crotch shorts that I wanted! Everything, I mean EVERYTHING (Apart from maybe 3 cardigans and the wool shirts) was snapped up within the first 5 MINUTES!!!! Not even kidding! After that it was total chaos, people running to changerooms, trying to find pieces, there were camera crews everywhere! I managed to fight some lady for a pair of drop crotch pants which were unfortunately not my size, however I managed to get my grubby little paws on a size 4 wool side zip jacket! So happy! It fits like a glove and looks fantastic!

Either way, that was absolutely outrageous.

They did have that rule, but I didn't see anyone reinforcing it! :(

No, we had that here too! There were salespeople walking up and down the line around an hour before telling us about it, and there were the signs at the cash too. Luckily a lot of people didn't know, so a few peices managed to make their way back to the floor!

Really all Asian people? I was the only Asian in the store I wen to^^ haha I'm a phony Asian, I just have the looks, in the inside I'm European^^
But there were mostly like women in their 30s or late 20s I think that I stood in line with..and a really big dog^^

gere are photos from the NY flagship from racked.com.

what a waste of money..the city has to pay for policeman to watch the line and patrol. i think a lot of cities have laws that dissuade retailers and ticket sellers from encouraging people to camp overnight and forming huge lines. maybe thats why the collection wasnt sold in a lot of other cities!

i wonder how many japanese policeman had to watch the 2,000 deep line in tokyo?

i got myself the trenchcoat (really really nice! i love it!) and the blazer/jacket, which comes in the same fabric as the trench. both look pretty good on.
I also got a skirt, which i will return. it just looks totally strange on.....

did anyone else notice that trench was sold in two color - dark blue and black?

Were you in Manchester too? There were people waiting from 7;30. I waited for 10 minutes and got myself the polka dot polo and the stripe shirt with the zig-zag thingy. The man stock was pretty appalling and some of the shirts were embarrassingly basic H&M with CdG stamp on it! The peacoat looks really good but I saw the same one in Muji and decided against it! Yes I notice the colour for the trench coat!

The store security was totally amused by all of us desperate shopper! Hahaha...also, seems like we heard about this yesterday but it was in April, man, time really flies!

Trench for women came in black and navy blue I think.

Think there are still quite a few left in the Manchester store.

Men's stuff was really limited in Manchester. Wat made me laugh is that I phoned the branch in the Trafford Centre that also stocked the collection to see if the stocked the men's wool pants. They said no and that the city centre branch had stocked all the collection ... Not true !!! Also he tolde me that 200 people were queuing outside before it opened (don't think so) and that the collecion had sold out in minutes !!! Funny that as there was still quite a lot of stuff left at midday.

Think H and M are taking the hype too seriously !!! Shame that Manchester didn't stock all the items they said they would.

guys guys guys!

was the trench for men available in both black and navy too???????

No unfortunately was only in black. To be honest was deciding whether to go for the trench in wool or the peacoat (yep I had a choice !!) tried both on and the peacoat just struck me as a less tricky piece (found the trench a bit too overstyled - Woman's one looked better) So glad I bagged a coat as they were the thing everyone was looking for !!!

Were you at the Eaton Centre? I was on Bloor and it wasn't all Asian. I think it was a good mix.

I didn't manage to get the jacket I wanted, but did get a dress (see above pic). For some reason, there were a lot of these left!
