I couldn't look at fashion in general after what happened. RIP, and we'll be asking why, and we'll remember you for the young fashionistas.

^watching that i suddenly realise that fashion is suddenly a whole lot less exciting :(

^^ Heartbreaking.

I'm finding it hard to even look at his designs, at the moment - however amazing they are.

^^^Thanks for posting, that was a great tribute...

One week later and still in somewhat a state of shock...

McQueen’s Death Officially Ruled A Suicide
By Matt Creamer

Today, an investigation confirmed what everyone pretty much knew to be true: Alexander McQueen died at this own hand, by hanging himself.

A British inquest revealed that the fashion icon was found in the wardrobe of his London morning last Thursday morning, a day before the funeral of his beloved mother.

British officials also said that McQueen’s body was identified by his older sister Janet. A note was found at the scene, but its contents were not disclosed. Full autopsy findings are expected to be revealed within a few months.

The death of McQueen started New York Fashion Week on a somber note and London Fashion Week, which begins on Friday, is expected to be the scene of several McQueen tributes. Already, there’s rampant speculation on the fate of McQueen’s label.

oh my, it's sadder and sadder, i suspected there was a note.. poor thing.
love you. thank you.

this is a little montage i did in my photoshop class last night on my role model McQueen rest in peace.

i still cant believe he is not with us anymore.:(

I passed the London store today, and they now have totally blacked out windows, with just a plasma screen in each playing various shows. The windows simply have written on them 'Lee McQueen 1969 - 2010'.

However they've also totally taken down the flag? I know they'd lowered it to half mast, but now it's just entirely gone? It could be down to something quite simple, but I just thought it was an odd thing to do.

i still can't read his name without getting teary-eyed.. it's so hard to believe there will never be anymore art by Lee

E! when they were covering the BAFTAS red carpet last night did a tribute to him too
