I just saw Alexandra Shulman speaking about McQueen on channel 4 news. She bought up the point that designers often work very close to the deadline before their shows so there is the possibility that we may not see his final collection.

OMG!!!! this is quite shocking . I know his mother had died last week and he was extremely close to her , I guess he was very emotionally connected with his mother im quite sure her death had a lot to do with his suicide. His work was soo full of extreme emotion , in art and in life . End of a fashion era for sure .

^true but mcqueen has an army of designers and about 50 interns so i'm sure the show can 'go on' as an homage to him on his very last collection.

he was a very complicated man (aren't all geniuses?), very hard to work for, and his latest tweets after his mother's death seemed very depressed.


RIP, i've known this for hours and have cried about 5 times already. i literally cannot believe it. no one will replace him, the McQueen brand might as well close now.

NOOO!!! It can't be true!!! The most talented designer of our days can't die this way!!! This is sooooo bad!!! We lost a genius...we lost the greater designer, the last true fashion designer, the one that keep on making art from clothes!!! I can't be more sad! The world is naked now...his clothes have gone with Mcqueen!

For me he will always be the greater designer of all times! He will always be my favourite...He is ETERNAL...UNFORGETTABLE!
