A terrible personal loss for those who knew him, and a tragic loss for the rest of us and the world of fashion. He should always be remembered for his amazing and visionary work. I'm grateful for what he gave us, he was so talented.

This is such awful news. McQueen was one of the figures in fashion that really made me love the industry, and I'm sure I'm not alone in that. I'd like to say something that actually reflects what I feel about this news and about how important his work but I'm still in shock I think.

My thoughts go out to his family more than anyone. I can't imagine how awful this is for them

He was one of the FEW designers who really knew how to stretch limits and produce creations that were twisted and vulgar but still beautiful in his own sick way. My throat just went dry.

I hope no one is offended me asking this here, but does anyone know where i could see his S/S 2001 collection? Its my favorite, and brings such distinct feelings, and memories back. But i cant find it on YT.

I have always appreciated Alexander McQueen.

His clothes were always pushing the envelope and made fashion more interesting.

He was and will always be one of my favorite designers.

this is really heartbreaking and tragic..of couse first of all i think at the private tragedy of a man (may he rest in peace ) and then the loss of a true Artist; i guess,for McQueen it was not about the clothes it was more about his creativity and and his visionary talent,a space in fashion that clearly no one will ever fill again.
