Really random, but now that we know that they're together, does anybody know how the Twihards are taking it? On all the message boards and stuff. Are the majority of the people happy about it, or are the fans pissed?

I think they're a couple but they're definitely playing into the publicity game right now. "Date" pictures in West Hollywood just weeks before BD is about to film? I think Summit is worried that Twilight mania may fade and they're using Rob/Kristen to keep the interest alive. Yes, Twilight is a moneymaking machine, but the backlash for Breaking Dawn's release was huge. So much that it's speculated S. Meyer stopped writing about Twilight (she postponed Midnight Sun indefinitely) because she couldn't handle the criticism. A lot of people think the film is going to be a complete joke and some even say, "For me, the Twilight series ends at three books". Summit's probably worried about declining interest and wants to prevent this by using publicizing R/K relationship.

maybe it's not that kind of business meeting - you know, the strict one, maybe she was invited to their restorant or something and it all little chat or something. plus, we don't know if her agent was there or not.

so, we're now, based on ONE outing in West H. saying they're in it for publicity too? i agree about the Summit's intentions, but i really have doubts these two would go for the promo with their relationship, sorry. for someone who was trying too hard to cover it all up for more than a year this would be a bit bi-polarish to do. just my opinion.

For instance, those photos of Rob and Camilla Belle shopping a while back (he's wearing a red t-shirt). Those were definitely staged to promote Push (another Summit film). So Rob's not completely adverse to photo-ops, even though he's not at the same level as Joe Jonas/Ashley Greene.

i do agree these two know how to play it, hence i could give you even more recent event when it was clear it was for PR purposes - Rob going to the cinema with his publicist two days in a row this summer. it's clear he's not immune to it, but then again he was caught by the paps on the 3rd day in row (after these first two) and then that whole pap vid and him refusing to go away so that the paps don't find out where he lives. it's clear he has quid per quo tactic with the public/paps which stops when it comes to private stuff (such is his relationship with K). of course they have to do some of it - it's written in their contracts - i just think it doesn't expand to their private lives cus they're not allowing it.

i dunno, when it comes to publicity/promotion/image it's all very slippery and since we don't know any of these ppl for real it's all up to guessing and trying to get some kind of picture about them and in my opinion these two are very young but very smart when it comes to publicity and image building (okay, Rob's bit better at it than Kristen cus she's still not filtering herself enough at times), but also seem genuinely oblivious to the HW perks.

he went to see Inception first, then the second time Salt if i'm not mistaken (it was written in the description of the pics, i don't know why i remember this kind of stuff tho ), but i really don't remember his outfits, they were probably the same all THREE days in a row. all i remember is that it was in the beginning of August maybe, after he finished WFE?

Those cinema pics were all in one day. They were not three days in a row. He went to see Salt ( everyone assumed because the poster was outside the cinema ) and then later he went to someone's house with her in Malibu. He wore those ugly green pants, a white tee and his black denim jacket. The pics started of him leaving with Stephanie, never arriving at the cinema, so people thought someone tipped the paps off. And then it went downhill from there, they followed him the whole day and that video came out.

He's actually friends with Camilla and they have definitely hung out before Twilight premiered (Gucci party, for example) but on that particular day, it was an obvious photo-op. They probably hang out more than we see but on that particular outing, I feel like they knew that someone was going to call the paparazzi on them that day.

i always think it's ironic when people say they're smart and then that they're innocent little puppets and not playing the HW game. they both know exactly what they're doing and although i'm not expecting a joe-ashley pr blizz, they could have acted like a couple way earlier and we all know it would've made things much easier.
it's just a different kind of HW game, but they're not this naive to not get that the way they acted created MUCH more buzz about them. we still don't have any holding-hands pics (or no proper ungrainy ones) so papz are still hunting them down. and the stupid "but they're oh so private people"...please, this way they're creating so much more interest in their relationship, people can still speculate (some people still think it's just pr) and summit is happy because the hardcore losers who want them as a couple "since they're bella and edward in real life too" are happy and the hardcore rob fans can still pretend it's all just pr.

i feel like your whole post is a reply to my post earlier. you pretty much summed all the things perfectly, just more objective about these two with which i 100% agree on - they know how to play it and they're getting what they and Summit want and in my opinion the fact that they're still in control of pretty much everything which is rare these days proves they're anti-HW stereotype or as you call it - simply different to way the most of these ppl in HW function. the only thing i don't agree is about them coming out much earlier - i think the "hunt" would be exactly the same, if not worse, cus the Twi-hype is coming down these days.

i just don't agree with you using term "stupid" when it comes to referring to other ppl opinion, sorry.
