Roberto Cavalli F/W 2023.24 Milan

hideous collection but abbey lee! didn't expect to see her. she has a new show coming out soon again last time i checked.

What shade exactly? You're not allowed to look at the archive of your brand anymore. It's maybe a lazy copy but what Panos trying to prove here.

This gave me flashbacks to Frida Giannini's Gucci collection for Fall 2008, and for that sole reason I am a fan. Admittedly, there's not a great deal I do dislike about this collection (perhaps could've done without those blue denim pieces and the dress on the model with the tattoos).

Exactly, I didn't understand his point... When Fausto clearly wanted to "COPY" something that had already been created by Cavalli!

Well at least he's referencing the archives, rather than doing his usual Gianni Versace-esque knock offs. Shame the archive didn't include Cavalli's backlog of beautiful fabrics used in their collections. They may have been tacky in parts but dang did they use some fabulous textiles.

Fausto still designs with a stiff hand, probably from all the interfacing he worked with at his own label. He needs to learn to design with a more glamorously louche sensibility to get better at Cavalli.

The Panos years of Cavalli were great. I get his point even if it’s totally fine to reference the archives IMO.
What he is trying to prove is unproductive…
