Looks like Cavalli's doing a Dolce & Gabbana - one season sex-inspired slit dresses, next season collections inspired by the Queen..

Only the few dresses at the end and with the flower print are nice, that´s it. The rest is bad.

i never like cavalli's collections, and this is no exception.
except for the floral prints and the light fabrics, it doesn't look like spring at all. i like some of the floral dresses though - the ones on sasha, mariacarla and this girl whose name i don't know.

This has to be my least favourite collection showed thus far in Milan. I agree that its a big step back from his last collection. Some of those prints are just plain ugly :ninja:.

I don't hate it but it's certainly a WTF collection. The prints are still Cavalli-esque but the layering just feels wrong and incoherent.
I do love the flouncy white dresses at the end though

I'm actually really really liking this collection. Even loving it.
The layering seems perfectly fine with me.
Overall feeling i'm getting is romantic and i love it.

while I like this collection, It lacks that sexiness and some prints are just questionable lol

What's with the surprised reactions?, Cavalli's been going in this more 'romantic/covered up' direction since at least two years now, he seems to be really wanting to leave her nouveau riche girl in the past, last season might've been more reminiscent of his aesthetic due to the darker palette and sexy makeup/hair but it still was more Fendi than Cavalli in many ways.
I'm not sure this could ever be a favorite, certainly not for 'fierce'-craving male fans anymore, but this collection is packed with beautiful summer dresses you just throw on in a hot summer day..

I loved this Cavalli dress from summer 2008 and the way it was worn by a girl captured by garance doré..

.. and I can spot some dresses with equal potential from this show.

it's a win for me, but then, I do love the country.

^I'm glad he left that image behind, but to put it crudely, this collection looks a bit half-a**ed to me...

Cavallis S/S 2008 was my fav collection of his . THis collection lacked that finesse and execution . As another Tfser said it looks Half ***ed and kinda sloppy. I like this collection none the less and the vibe it represents but a bit of effort could have been put in.

I also thought his previous romantic collections were nice, but the styling here seems really dubious...

I'm all for mixing masculine with feminine (and have been doing so, practically, all my life), but this is not done very well, IMO.

I also don't think the dresses, even dissected from their overall looks, are as promising, personally.

^I agree with everything you said there are some really pretty floral pieces but the styling way off and dowdy, i loved his last 2 spring collections especially 09 it was pretty and romantic but still exciting and had that wow factor which this is lacking.
