thansk for the greast pics everyone .. i do this alot .. and will be in next few weeks .. i hate rising damp on my trousers when wlaking to college so i always roll th em up .. seems as im a complete short **** .. ahh looks like im stylish now not just scruffy hehe

I've been doing this for ages because I'm so short (a 5'4" male.... and I turn 18 in a week. ) and I'm really lazy about going to a tailor to get my pants hemmed.

^yeah I've been doing that as well. Well I'm lazy as well. And I actually think they look great as well when they are rolled but still has the same length as normal pants would - especially when it's straight-legged jeans..

interesting thread! i hadn't really thought of doing it with jeans.. i suppose because i own mostly skinny jeans.. but i can imagine really terrible high waisted 'mum' jeans looking cool rolled up..

i have a pair of beige light weight wool trousers.. they look really cool rolled up with coloured socks and usually something quite big/slouchy on top.. like a jumper/cardi

i don't like skinnies rolled so much...
the leg has to have some volume and then you have to peg and roll
that's the formula for success......

I saw a great example of this in a pic with Sienna Miller and her sister for their clothing line. The rolled casual fit black pants Sienna was wearing inspired me to pick up a similar style from Gap that could be folded up at the bottom. Can't find that original pic online to post though. It was in British Vogue.

I am sort of clueless, I thought rolling up pants actually cuts you out horizontally and makes you look a bit shorter, especially if the inside of the pant is a few shades lighter than the outside. I remember my mom telling to never roll up my jeans cause it's supposed to visually shorten you up and it's continuity in the vertical line that gives height.

Though I have to admit the pics in this thread are very inspiring and I like the way it looks on others and the fabrics are much lighter than the dark denim I used to roll up (and look funny in).

Maybe it's just me...
