i think they do get some practice, i remember a video of gemma backstage at a photoshoot, she had to wear some balenciaga shoes and the hairstylist was amazed by the size of the heels... and she said that they made the girl practise a lot the day before the show, and three of them fell... and i think from then on Nicolas Ghesiquere decided to put some sticky liquid on the runway (like soda) so the girl wouldn't fall the day of the show

^Others might've seen her drinking backstage...but it doesn't necessarily mean she was utterly drunk She wasn't the only one who had trouble with the shoes -- she just had the most, and was unfortunately caught on camera

Drunk or not, I still feel bad for the poor girl. Her fall was captured through countless images; forgetting about the incident would be a difficult task for her to accomplish.

On other news, I was watching Spring's Saint Laurent show and noticed that Kim Noorda uncomfortably wobbles as the models close the show. The model directly behind here was not able to conceal her self-satisfied smirk. Hehe...

Drunk or not, I forgive her.....I dont see how anyone could walk in those shoes.... I'm sure MANY others have fallen in real life from crazy heels like such haha

But Galliano's cobblery left something to be desired. Early on in the presentation, a trembling blonde Milana, wearing the designer's towering ball-bedecked heels, took a tumble at the end of the runway and almost toppled again onto Candy Pratts Price before a Dior handler came to her rescue. And later, during the final lineup, May Andersen was so wobbly in her shoes she clutched two friends' hands just to make it down and back in one piece.

Backstage after the show, asEllen PompeoandFabiola Beracasa discussed their favorite Dior looks while waiting to congratulate the designer, a still visibly trembling Milana put on a brave face despite her tears.

"My body was breaking!" she exclaimed. "It was the first time I ever fell. But everyone falls, right?"
