she's got small feet. shoes rarely fit her. i feel for her on that respect. to have to walk on such a long runway at that, it can strain your feet and leg if walking with too big a shoe.

BUT, OMG at Anabela. Poor girl. So close too. These designers are really cruel making these girls walk in those ridiculous shoes. There are no need for them whatsoever.

Here's a funny one from the smoking thread, but I thought it belonged here because of the slippers! Apparently the models were all issued fuzzy slippers at Rodarte, and one smoker (Adina) just couldn't help slipping out for a cig...

Seriously, models are self-employed, if they can't walk, they don't get paid.

You might be able to get income insurance, but it would cost a lot considering all the hazards -- crazy shoes, hot flat irons, skin reactions to cosmetics, falling through stages.

Surprising the shoes coming off doesn't happen more often since shoes are often a few sizes too big for the model's feet. You see them being stuffed with paper in the behind the scenes shots, usually in the background, by, I would think, an assistant assistant dresser.
