Ugh, why can't Karl give someone else a chance. I'm so sick of Freja and her entourage for Chanel.

What? Abbey Lee featuring a Chanel campaign? Did I read well? Abbey Lee for Chanel? Abbey Lee staring a Chanel ad? I knew it! OMG. Freja again? Aren't four campaings enough (if you aren't Claudia Schiffer)?

Karl, please, stoooop! The fashion world, this vale of tears... I was so happy thinking he was going to change the casting (Raquel or Karen).

New Signings - Ad Campaigns

The football transfer window may be closed, but that hasn't stopped the beauty world making some brand new signings. Chanel have already snapped up Vanessa Paradis; Lancôme have nabbed Hollywood star Julia Roberts and now there are some exciting announcements from Rimmel and Pantene. Adding to their roster of big names - including Kate Moss and, most recently, Coco Rocha and Georgia Jagger - Rimmel have signed deals with indie film actress Zooey Deschanel, singer Solange Knowles (Beyoncé's little sister), and Puerto Rican model Alejandra Ramos Munoz. As for Pantene, Amber Le Bon will be the face of the brand's new Volume&Body range; the campaign shows her hair expertly worked into voluminous '80s styles by global hairstylist Sam McKnight.

In general, when do ads for the fall / winter collections start appearing in magazines? It seems like for F/W there is a longer gap between the shows themselves and when the ads start appearing, which does make sense from a seasonality standpoint. Also to the mod / creator of the A/W 2010 thread, will please consider adding a Campaign by Photographer category, thank you.

Frida has Noir F/W 10.11, images are out early as per usual with them.

All Danish campaigns are shot like 8 months ahead, I don't understand how the collections are even finished sometimes (except for the big retailers). We can also add:

Anna Selezneva replacing Carmen for Bruuns Bazaar

Caroline Brasch Nielsen for Designers Remix Collection (not a big campaign but maybe of some interest now)

I can't believe the news coming from Chanel... What a let down! Another disappointment! I can imagine the campaing, how boring! What an awful beginning!

PS: Karl, stoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooop!

i follow with the comments on Chanel

abbey in a chanel campaign? she is the opposite of what class is

I think she's great for Chanel, I really changed my mind on her this season, her hair and eyes are sensational. And you know Karl has a wierd preferences so I'm used to him not picking my favourite girls. However this does probably mean that Freja and Abbey will be in the Chanel campaign the season after that f/w10 as well (ss11) since Chanel/karl usually gives the girl the Chanel campaign for two seasons in a row (except with Claudia this season apparantly).

Yes, that's true, the models he chose for Chanel used to be given the campaigns of a whole year (two seasons, with some exceptions as you say). I don't like her but I don't especially dislike her neither, to me she's like the 95% of models out there, the problem comes when I think this is Chanel (I love it so much) and I want other kind of models to feature it, models that really deserve it, or at least that's what I think, like Raquel for example...

Does anyone know why Jil Sander didn't have an advertising campaign last season for the mainline?

Oh, so it's official then they didn't have advertising this season? Bummer
