Saint Laurent F/W 13.14 Paris

This are the last two looks of the collection! WHAT IN THE WORLD?!?
Is this YSL, Hanne looks soo trashy and so much like a bad paid h**ker...
I'm soo sad of this transition...

I have to admit that I was excited for Hedi Slimane to take over as creative director at YSL, but it is so far proving something that looked better on paper than in reality.

What can one say about this? I mean...wow! He must be kidding me!!!

I am sure Horyn is on the floor laughing till the tears come down!

He should join forces with Donatella. Together they could create the trashiest collection known to man sold exclusively at Hot Topic.

I don't know wether to laugh or cry as that collection is just tragic. He seems to be doing more damage than good to the house of Saint Laurent.

When I look at this, all I can think of that their target client is a 17 y-o high school girl. Good luck selling that to 50+ women... PPR must be super pleased  If that goes on, I give him 3 more seasons and he'll get fired.

Not to mention that there is not an ounce of creativity in this collection. It looks straight out of a Topshop lookbook for goodness sake!

Good luck to them if they want to profit off of anybody! 17 year old high school girls generally can't afford YSL oops Saint Laurent! And I'm sure if they did have the money to spend they wouldn't buy this crap! They would buy those Tribute heels ha!

I can only see a desperate 40+ woman buying this hoping/thinking she's going to look young/cool and hip or wear it in an ironic way. But c'mon now.

And not to mention that he's being inspired by people like Skye Ferreira, like I'm not surprised like this collection looks like clothes for sad hookers.

it's so funny how this collection is being politely massacred on showstudio.com's live panel. They laughed at the first look and said many of the looks could be found at Camden market which is very true! The collection is not cohesive, there is no story behind this. It's simply a compilation of different looks for young teenage girls. YSL is officially dead! (I said that last season, but now I wish he repeated last season). They should close the house and Heidi can start his own house if the investment is worth it.

I'm just dying to know how much they're gonna ask for this piece of s*, 2000 euro?

I wonder, did he produce this collection just to piss people off or is he stuck in such a strange bubble (far below his age) and so out of touch that he thinks this is what is cool?

And we thought that Bill Gaytten at Dior was a catastrophe... His first couture disaster was pure gold compared to these suicidal teens.

I don't know what type of mumbo jumbo Hedi has under his sleeve to defend this collection but in all honesty, people who dress like this don't go out of their way to buy these types of items.

For instance, the plaid shirts--most people who wear these types of flannels and plaid shirts get it either vintage, second hand, or a non-descript brand or they take it from their brother or dad. Mesh dress? 10 dollars max at a random costume or kink store. And the oversized knit cardigans are usually bought vintage, second hand or passed down from grandma.

Where's the design here? Where's the fashion?

Some models really look like hookers and a few like little girls, that combination feels so totally wrong! It's giving me major shivers! For example:

HEDI SLIMANE has a particular kind of girl in mind - she's the girl to the boy we saw at his Saint Laurent menswear show in January and she's rocking just as much of the cool factor as he is and channeling just as many music influences too. She's LA effortless and belongs at Coachella all year round - oversized plaid shirts tapping into Nirvana teen spirit worn over dresses she was obviously out the night before in. That's what we got for Slimane's second outing at Saint Laurent this evening, just as anticipated as his first - and just as self-assured in its stylistic aesthetic, this time California grunge over last season's Seventies puritan.

This was for the young and a new generation of Saint Laurent customer - leather miniskirts and duffle coats, biker jackets and baby doll dresses, oversized cardigans over those little dresses, a splash of beads and embellishment and a constant sense of moody rebellion on parade.

When dissected there were some nice pieces but altogether it will be a hard collection for the traditional Yves Saint Laurent buyer and customer, so different now is the output now that it's Saint Laurent. And as Saint Laurent it's very much Hedi's take, which is youthful and a certain type of cool to the core.

i've already read multiple times on twitter that 'slimane is bringing doc martens back'

uhm, hello. fashion bloggers have been wearing doc martens (ironically and not) for years. he's not bringing back or forward a single thing. i also assume those boots are similiar to docs but will still be sold under the SLP name. who'd want to spend at least, i don't know, 700 euros on boots that you can find at 1/4 price ?

Wow, I'm embarrassed for this girl. She's clearly not interested in reviewing the collection, she's more interested in scoring brownie points with YSL PR team. What a sellout.

I think the worst thing about this collection is that it doesn't even redefine the pseudo-grunge aesthetic. I haven't seen much of fashion but you know that when YSL is showing flannelettes it is a catastrophe.

Lot of the style.com/ vogue are paid press I find, they will praise garbage and find faults with perfectly nice collections.

And now we can all see who is who. Because this collection has no forgiving quality.
