I suppose it may be for the trailer or posters or similar - just like the book had Nanny as a modern Mary Poppins on it's cover, it may also serve as a metaphore. They are actually changing quite a lot in the movie. They've invented almost all the supporting characters and changed the names of the ones they kept. They're also completely changing the ending. In the movie, Nanny also isn't a college student, and she's renamed Annie.jennyd80 said:I read somewhere that the umbrella scenes were for a dream sequence, so that makes more sense.
